Don't know if this is the right board to post this question but here goes: We will be a WDW from October 24-31. Going to the Halloween party and DGD will be dressing up as a pirate. We purchased a plastic gun to go along with the outfit but now I'm having second thoughts about packing it in the checked luggage. Do you think there will be a problem with this? I will probably leave it attached to the backing it is on (twist tied to a piece of cardboard). Or should I just mail it ahead to the resort? Thanks!

I'd leave it home altogether. Unless something has changed (which is possible), he can't bring it into the park anyway.

We purchased one at Disney to bring home last year and when we go to the airport they gave us a hard time.

I don't know about the bringing it into the park but you can definately pack it. Just came back from Disney on Tues and brought 2 guns in luggage both bought at disney. One was one of the long wooden rifles sold at Pirates and the other was a blaster from Star Wars. There is no problem with them in checked bags you just can't go thru security and take them on carry on. This is nothing new it was the same way 15 yrs ago when I took my nephew.
