We are headed out early on Friday morning.. so excited! I am thinking starting the days with shorts, t shirt and jacket and change into pants for night time.. Last time 5 years ago we were there during TG a cold front came in and we froze!!

Just curious as to anyone else's thoughts.

Weather says upper 70's lows are in upper 50's low 60's.

thanks!

We are leaving Sunday. We were there last year over Thanksgiving also and I remember how cold it got! Luckily, the cold seemed short lived. We are packing shorts/short sleeve shirts for daytime but are taking pants and jackets for the evenings. The low's of 50's/60's sure beats Kansas City weather today at 19 degrees!

Have a great trip!

Yes! sounds like our trip 5 years ago! It was so cold one night when the front came in I had to buy hoodie in the park! We were staying at POP too far go back to hotel.. anyway, we are more prepared this time.. I am thinking we should take jackets and our light weight ski coats! They are not big and bulky but very warm.. high 66 on Friday and that can be cold when you are out in it.. better safe than sorry... thats my issue.. coat vs. jacket dilemma.. Wow 19! We are in texas so we are not used to 19!! 50 is cold to us!! yall have fun as well!!

We are leaving for our Thanksgiving Disney trip on monday! We were also there last year. We brought along a fleece sweatshirt for everyone in a backpack each day to put on once it got chilly. Can't wait to go back this Thanksgiving!! It is so nice to be in Disney and not sweating your butt off!

I saw it will be 65 high and 47 low at Bay Lake on Friday. I would be surprised if the cold front from the mid west affect WDW in 4 days or so. For clothes I would take layers. Here in Houston it is dropping into the 30's at night for few nights. Yikes, it is never this cold this early.

we r pretty much doing the same. shorts in day. . . jeans and pants night.

man i remember 1 xmas trip when it was one of our first trips together in the winter. i took all shorts, but came down in a pair of sweat pants and a hoodie. was like it's florida. . . ya i wore the same pair of sweats and hoodie everyday for 7 days. all the pics look like it was 1 super long day.

what i'm stressed about is the storm we got coming tomorrow. we fly out 440 PM friday. i hope things are back on track so we can still get out. i know tomorrow is going to be a wash for the flights around here.

I have a closet full of jackets and sweatshirts (dating back to our first trip, in 1994!) that I bought when I failed to pack (or more often, to bring from the hotel to the park) a jacket. Pack layers, and if you're going to stay out from daylight into the evening, bring jackets in a backpack. Once the sun goes down, it can get cold! Especially when the wind blows.

Yes! We are planning a break to chill and change but I agree pack extra in back pack and we will have little stroller we can pile stuff into and onto as well!!

Hmm, DIS should have local chapters. I’m northeast of y’all, on the other side of the railroad tracks from The Woodlands. At least the roads aren’t icy!

OH cool! So true... Yes they should have local chapters.. I bet there are lots of us!

Lol! I live in Kingwood and it’s been cold here this week. We will be in Disney for Thanksgiving and looking forward to seeing the sun.

yes it has.. I am looking forward to little warmer weather! We decided on just jackets and not coats!! I think we will be ok..

Looks like you will have great weather. A little cool at night but nothing too cold. Have fun!

We had whiteout, mini-blizzard conditions yesterday, with travel snafus and everything. Can't wait to get into better weather next week! We are going to bring 1 long sleeved, long pants outfit plus a hoodie/sweatshirt thing. We are trying to travel with carryon bags only and will do laundry if we have to, and wear the same long sleeve/long pants outfit every day if we end up with a cold snap.

Other bonus is we'll be flying with winter coats too, if it gets REALLY cold in Florida!

Well, as you know it was warm! Other than friday, no jacket really needed! I hope yall had a great time.

Ah!! Were you there at the same time? Did you have a good time?

It was really great weather - below 20 in NYC, so we appreciated the weather - we were in tees and shorts most of the time, with hoodies in the evening. We had a great time though the crowds ... especially on Wednesday ... oy vey. AK and Epcot were much more manageable, but MK was crazy.

Lessons learned for us:
On very busy days, go to parks *other than* MK (or do MK in early AM and hop somewhere else later).
Take some time to do non-time-pressured things.
Stay fed and hydrated!
Use the mobile ordering feature on the app if not doing an ADR.

I agree.. MK was pretty miserable!! We finally got smart and did rope drop one morning but still only got few things done... we only had 3 disney days and did 3 universal days... but we moved to hard rock at the end of the trip so we had express passes.. those are wonderful, makes the trip so much more enjoyable..

I agree the weather was awesome! We departed for home Saturday night which was lucky for us...Kansas City airport closed on Sunday due to a snow storm. We got half a foot of snow and ice. School was cancelled today.

We went to the MK magic hours on Wednesday night from 11-1:00. It was tough for me to stay awake honestly but the crowds were much more tolerable at that time.
