Packing for driving instead of flying. Any suggestions?

So we are driving for the first time in a little less than 2 weeks! SOOO excited! But I was wondering how many of you pack differently when you drive versus flying or do you pack basically the same either way. Since we are used to flying for our trips (not just to Disney) what are some things that we may not have considered taking? It is so weird to think about not having any baggage requirements - besides making them fit in the car :)

Any suggestions would be great. I just want to make the most of this trip. Thank you all.

Basically driving you can take more! but you figured that out already! One of the things we do when driving is to take a grocery box - food that we can eat for breakfast and snacks. Saves us from wasting time when we get there on going to a grocery store. We live near DC so usually take the auto train from Lorton and during the winter will take a cooler in the car with leftover milk, cheese, etc that we can use down in disney. Depending on where you are staying you have room to put in some board games, movies, etc that you can use in your room to have some family time. Just think about what you'd take on a vacation to the beach that you all enjoy doing but can't do when you fly...

I fly (I'd rather fly five hours than drive two :)) - but one thing I noticed is a lot of vacationers who drive bring their own pillows. Use bright or patterned pillow cases so housekeeping doesn't accidentally take your cases when they change the bedding.

We pack way more when driving...
We pack all of our breakfast foods, as well as pop/water. We take a cooler and fill it with ice every night so that we can have milk all week without paying for a fridge. We pack more clothes including extra shoes for everyone. We take a foldable laundry cube to set up in a corner for dirty clothes. Both kids have their own pillows and comfortable blankets from home. We take an air mattress for our oldest to have his own bed. The laptop goes and all the camera equipment. The hot shot goes so that we can make tea/coffee every morning and we bring jugs of water so that the tea/coffee tastes good (hate that Florida water). :goodvibes
