JUST A TIP:

Our ds (15 months old during April 2001 trip) is very predictable when it comes to the number of diapers he'll use in one day. (9 days/8 nights trip)

So in the carry-on bag, I packed 2 days of diapers.

In the checked suitcase I packed 8 days of diapers.

I knew I was going to leave the left over diapers in Florida. I have only three diapers left!

Diapers were on the those things I didn't want to over pack!

Since we rent a car, I always pack what diapers we need for the trip, and then pick up a pack when we get there. The plus on your approach is that you have the luggage space from the diapers on the way back.

I wish my kid was that predictable!

I was worried about overpacking diapers too for my upcoming trip. Much to my surprise, my 2 1/2 y.o. just became potty trained! Yahoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe my good fortune. Now I just have to pack a few pullups for at night. No accidents yet(although I'm sure there will be a few).:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

to pack diapers rather than buy them there. Either in Goodings or in WDW shops they are a lot more expensive.

Yes, but Publix and the Wal*Mart Super Center are the same price as at home :D.

Big mistake in thinking that your newly potty trained child will be able tyo deal with Disney with out pullups. The bathrooms are never near when you need them and newly potty trained kids need to go right now when they tell you its time. Bring the pull ups or go to Publix or Walmart to buy them when you get there.

They vacuum pack them into the wrapping. A new, sealed pack will take up less room than a stack of loose diapers counted out. (However, I have been known to lay them flat in a layer across the entire inside flap pocket of our pullman; a one-inch layer a yard wide!)

When DD was younger, we actually put two packages of diapers in a box (about a 10 day supply for us)
and advance mailed them to our hotel. They cost very little in postage
because they were so light and the hotel held them for us until we arrived.
Made packing our suitcases a lot easier - there's already so much to carry
with a toddler!

We travelled with 5 diapers in the diaper bag for our DS 16 mos, and went to Target (near the Florida Mall) the day we got in, to buy diapers (52 pack!). We needed a 12-day supply, as we were 5 days in the parks and also a 7 day Disney Magic cruise. Bringing that many diapers on the airplane just didn't make sense.

I packed a small duffel bag, and the day we left for the cruise I packed the diapers & bottled water into the duffel bag, and it worked out fine. We actually ended up buying a 10-pack of Huggies on the ship, as we were afraid we'd run out!
