I've debated and debated on traveling with my pins.
I have the large WDW pin bag, now -ehem- a little full. Inside I have a small binder for CM trades, not to mention LOTS of YoD in packages to trade with CM's too.
I usually carry my pins on. I have been thinking about FedEx'ing them to me @ ASMo.
DH thinks I would be safe in packing the pin bag in my checked baggage, since we are flying non stop (both ways). -- Midwest Express
I plan on making a list of the pins I am taking, mostly for ME to keep track, to update my Pinpics.
What does everyone think of the pin bag in checked baggage? (Layering it between clothes.)

Update:
DH sez I'll never trade all I am taking. From my list:
38 YoD pins. (still in packages)
37 pins in my small trade binder -- a few YoD and a lot of miscellaneous
A few larger goodies in my pin bag:
DL #1 pin(s)
Even some TDS pins -- (4) TDS fka Mickey for Prez; (2) #77's; the eight pins for the SW train; (1) NY; (4) IN; 3 pin B&tB velveteen boxed set; TDS lent head flag; TDS lent flag w/MM in front
(1) DL Shield
five pin set of DLP B&tB
DLP Julia Roberts Tink
DL Rex
WDW candle LE
And I am even bringing 4 HRC! (2 are LE500)

Not counting each pin (some are sets) I am hauling 130+ pins to trade. That should keep us busy!
:bounce: ;) :D
And whatever I bring back will be fine too. :) Gosh -- it will be so nice doing trades and not paying for postage!

ON our last trip I packed my pins in between my clothes, and I really worried alot about them.

But I think that is better then having them be an issue at the security gate.

All turn out well - they made it.

Have a wonderful time.

I also checked some of my pins the last trip. No problems we also flew non-stop had no trouble.

I packed some into the luggage that went in cargo, had no problems. The large pin trader bag though came on board, without any problems, they just check it out and then look at you and say "What do you do with all of them?". But they think it is pretty neat when you tell them you trade with others from all over the world. Have great time!!!

I sent my pins in the crgo hold once. I put them in the ever present green backpack and locked them up. No problems. We did fly nonstop though. I don't think I would do it if I had to stop and change planes. I know a few people who have used UPS or Fed Ex to send their pins to them and they have had no problems.
