I love the CarlaC shirts!!!!
I've been stalking this thread for that pattern! I can't wait!
Oh, I lost the other shirts! Well, I love them all.
I'm anxious to get my hands on that pattern to make some shirts for Matthew for our next trip. Well, just to wear anywhere.

I also lost the photos of the minnie outfit -very cute!!

Hmm, other cute stuff too. Oh well.

I'm off to the airport shortly to pick up my very best friend. She's coming in from Ontario to help with my family while dh and I are in the hospital having this baby. I'm so excited to see her. Not to mention to be almost done with being pregnant. It's such a blessing to be pregnant but I'm so ready to be done!!!! Know what I mean?!
Anyway, Tuesday is the big day. So, if I'm away a while... that's what's up!

I am currently making a bunch of outfits for Sesame Place. My friend and I are going with the little kids and we all have to match right??? It involves appliquing which I am not the best at but I am hoping it will come out ok. Alright I am off to sew and cook and clean and taxi and be mommy and wifey and entertain company. I'd love to know what you think of Sesame Place. I want to take Megan there and Hershey park in a couple of years, but I keep reading mixed reviews of Sesame Place. And since it would be a far distance for us (from TX) I want to make sure it's worth the travel before we commit.

I'd love to know what you think of Sesame Place. I want to take Megan there and Hershey park in a couple of years, but I keep reading mixed reviews of Sesame Place. And since it would be a far distance for us (from TX) I want to make sure it's worth the travel before we commit.

We are going in two weeks so I will definately let you know. I went once on a cloudy day 10 years ago but I heard its nice. Not like Disney. But fun. But I will let you know!

Cute and I just love that fabric. See now that fabric is a perfect example. It may not have been outstanding on the bolt but when you see it all done up like this it is remarkable! I love Carla C's patterns. I have 5 or 6 of them!

From the Gwinnett Center, you can keep going down Satellite Blvd (and avoid 85) towards Gwinnett Place Mall. Take a right on Pleasant Hill (or as we call it, UNpleasant Hill), then the shopping center with JoAnn's will be on your left. I think it is 2 lights down. You can see an On the Border and a Rooms To Go in the parking lot (also Barnes & Noble, TRU, Old Navy, etc., etc.), and JoJo's is toward the back. The Greek restaurant in that center is yummy! There's also a La Madeleine in there too. It is one of the big JoAnn Etc. stores. Their customer service is lacking, but they have lots of stuff.

There used to be a Hancock's right near there, but it closed down.

If you want to do other shopping, you can turn the other direction out of the Gwinnett Center and go up to Sugarloaf, take a Right, and Discover Mills will be on your Right. It's a huge outlet-type mall. Discover Mills directory

If you're super bored, you can keep going down, down, down Sugarloaf into Lawrenceville and go to Stitch N Quilt. The ladies are very nice. It's a smallish quilting store though.

If you get all the way to Stitch N Quilt, you are near a nice, new shopping center called [URL="http://www.shoptheavenue.com/FindAnAvenue/TheAvenueWebbGin/tabid/87/Default.aspx]The Avenue at Webb Ginn[/url]. Turn L out of the quilt store parking lot, then take Sugarloaf to Hwy 124. Turn L onto 124 and The Avenue will be on your left. There's a Ted's Montana Grill there (yum!), as well as a Red Robin, On the Border, Macaroni Grill, Chili's, Bonefish Grill, Longhorn, and a ton of shops. One of those new outdoor malls.

And if you get there, you're almost to another Super JoJo's. Turn L out of the Avenue onto Webb Ginn onto Hwy 124, then follow 124 until you see a Steak N Shake on your left and a Lowe's on your right. JoJo's is in the shopping center behind Steak N Shake.

The Wal-Mart that you pass there before JoAnn's does not have fabric any longer. There's one on Sugarloaf at Lawrenceville-Suwanee road that has a teensy amount. There's one on Pleasant Hill Road (back near the first JoAnn's--just keep going down Pleasant Hill past JoJo's and it will be on your L) that has some.

Anything else in the area I can help you find?

Sounds like a GREAT day!! Were you back in OC? How close are you guys to there? We are about 90 min - right outside of Philly just a little south of the Philly airport - if ya ever need a place to park your car and someone to drive ya up, just let me know!! I have plenty of parking at my house!!!

Awwww how sweet are you! Thanks so much! We usually fly out of ACY. However with these crazy gas prices I am concerned about ever flying again! I am down in Cape May actually, south of OC!

Sea World Orlando has Elmo and the gang (Seasonally). Right now they have a character breakfast and a Show.

We spend a lot of time with Elmo, my sweetie works with him and his friends

Everything is so cute as usual! I have tried to multiquote, but I seem to mess it up each time??

We have been gone for a few days and I don't think I will ever catch up!

I wanted to post a couple of pictures of this past week. My son-in-law got back from being deployed for the last 4 months! We were there when the ship came in and went to Disneyland the next day! Where else would we go!!

CarlaC let me be a tester for her new pattern!! I was thrilled to be able to have a "sneak peek"!! She said it should be available for sale within the next week or so. Here's what I made for Sawyer. I'll try and get pictures of him modeling it within the next few days. I'm also making a simply sweet halter dress for Tessa out of the Go Diego Go fabric.

Cute shirt! Now if this baby is a boy I have a shirt to make for him! Yeah!

I am just sick today- my brothers friends went out in a paddle boat on friday night and the boat tipped over and one of the friends is now missing. They think he probably drowned. But have not been able to find him. The friend didn't tell anyone til the next day- thought he had swam to the other side as they had been talking in the water after the boat flipped. The boys are all 18 and My heart is just broken for all of them!! Of course they were not wearing life jackets, it was not their boat and they may been drinking. So So So sad!!! Please keep them in your prayers.
Sorry to bring you all down. But I wanted to get all your positive thoughts and prayers out there for him and his family and friends. Thank You!!

That is so sad. Kids and water are such a dangerous combination. I hope that it works out okay. We'll say a prayer for his family.

DD informed me last week after seeing some of the PPP outfits that have been posted that she wanted to be a "pirate princess" for haloween. I found this skull fabric and thought it was too perfect so i went ahead and made this:

It is the sisney store petti. What do you guys think? does it need something else??

Okay, this is just unfair! I looked at your ticker and we are due at the same time, how are you getting to have the baby so early? My doctor won't induce me until July 2! Are you having a c-section? I'm ready to be done too even though I know this is probably our last baby . I went to the grocery store tonight and went to the bathroom before I left, got there about 10 minutes (or less) later and went again, bought about 10 things, went again, checked out and drove home, came inside and went again. I went to the bathroom FOUR times in about 45 minutes! Who has time for that? Sorry if that is TMI, just venting! The baby has got to be using my bladder as a pillow! Good luck with your delivery! WOW how threads fly! Despite the terrible set back illness, I have been quite productive (with a little help from my friends) and have finished a few things, hope to post them soon! Just wanted to peek in and say HI!

and if you are making a simply sweet top BE SURE you use the measurements for the right style. Lily's twirl top is a dress and I now have to make her a "top" WOW, 3 inches makes a BIG difference

Tomorrow is a big day at our house....
Alexis is beginning pre K...it's a 10 hour day, and I'm worried about her. I feel like it's much too long for that age, but that's what I get for putting her in the summer program. Also Ireland is going to summer camp for the first time. It's a day camp, and it's also for 10 hours a day. She will be going to Universal, some local springs, Wet N Wild, bowling, movies, ice skating...etc...she will have a blast...but poor Lexie... I made her a new outfit for the occasion, but I want to cry every time I look at it... The house will be VERY quiet tomorrow...

My mom made me an Easter dress every year too! I still have the blue flowered one she made for me when I was four!

I'm subbing. I haven't had time to go back and read what I missed this week. I was never able to keep up while we were at WDW.

We got home around 2 this morning. I'm tired and trying to convince Delaney to take a nap with me and failing miserably.

We had a great time, I'm still working the pictures thing, we had an issue with our photopass but it was all worked out, I just have to order it this week now from home.

Delaney had a blast for her birthday. She got tons of attention starting at check in at the hotel where they stopped the entire lobby and sang happy birthday, at that point Delaney wanted to give her birthday button back but by the time we left she had decided she liked it.

I have to get back to work, I found that we had been invaded by ants when I woke up this morning so I've got TONS of work to do around here.

Glad you had a great time. Can't wait to see pictures. Ants are terrible, hope you are able to get that mess cleaned up quickly.

Henry worked from 9:00pm last night until 4:30am this morning. We had a discussion about how that's NEVER going to happen again when he got home. I can't sleep without him here and I layed in bed wide awake until he got home! Then, I had to wake up with the kids when they got up at 6:30, while Henry got to snooze until noon. He can completely set his own hours, so we've agreed that the latest he'll be gone is 1:00am now.

He is just excited; try not to be too hard on him. I'm sorry you were so worried.

Lucky dog! You are awesome, it really looks professional. It looks like an interesting pattern, is it lined all over? Pretty cool. Jacob will only wear collared shirts and pants or shorts that button to church. Otherwise it is a t-shirt and basketball shorts. Oh well.

I'm so sorry. Stories like this make me so mad. Our neighbor was killed in a scuba diving accident and he did not stay with his buddy. I feel so bad for the kids he left behind because he chose to act in a reckless manner. I will pray that they will find the boy safe.

Linnette, it is very cute but I would probably lengthen it. My daughter is long waisted so I am sensitive when shirts ride up on her. I agree with whoever said maybe add a yellow band to the bottom. It is adorable though: I really love the yellow!

I bought some red fabric with white leaves on it that looks very Lilo from my quilt shop. I don't know what I will ever do with it, but you could start with fabric that looks Ohana to you and maybe get inspired. Good luck!

Ok, I have been giving out so many hugs because I guess I need one. My SIL came down from Tallahassee to job hunt and look at condos/apartments. Well, she got a job so she is moving down here in July! But she had to go back to Tallahassee so she took the kids up to my parents where they will stay for 10 days. I miss them already. I will have to try to stay very busy; I think I have a few projects I can tackle, lol.

Another CarlaC tester here! The pattern was (as one would expect from a pattern of hers!) clear and easy to follow. Everything came together perfectly. I love how it is lined, so no rough seams on the inside. I feel like a professional seamstress with this one.

A Hawaiian-inspired bowling shirt--perfect for 'Ohana maybe? I think at the very least, we need to go to the Poly and take pictures with this. I have to make DD a matching a-line now...
