I think it is perfect. I cannot believe that you make all of this without a pattern! AMAZING!

That is super cute! So is the model. It looks like Ireland's sunburn is getting better.

Yes..I've been putting home grown aloe on it every day..a few times a day. and it's just blistered on her forehead and nose a little..the rest is almost gone.. Alexis is still under the weather and she was in the hospital yesterday. The doc says it's just a virus, but boy did she get it bad..

I have a question....I keep seeing these outfits that have a ruffle on the front that looks to be nothing more than a 1 or 2 inch strip of fabric that was serged on each side and then gathered to ruffle. I can't afford a serger but I did see a Tiny serger by Singer and wondered if it would do the trick to complete this. I will only be using it to do that, no sewing will it work? I found a website somewhere when I was looking for info on it that said it wasn't good to sew with but since I am not sewing with it......What do you think?:confused3

I would say..no. I've heard bad things about that serger. What you can do, to achieve the same look, is take a strip of fabric, sew it right sides together, turn it right side out. Top stitch the long edges and gather along the middle. It will give you the same look, without the serger.
I know Walmart has a pretty decent serger for 198...which isn't too bad, I guess...

WE'RE BACK!!!! :worried:

Poor kids and poor mom!! It is awful when your kids are sick. I had forgotten Lexie was sick- looking at the pics she seems happy. I hope you guys all get better soon!

Right now, it is just pinned in the back. I put button holes on the back so that they can adjust the straps to the right length. I don't have my little model here to try it on (nor do I think that HE would cooperate).

That is a very sweet picture.

And a few other things-

an outfit for a friend's daughter

She wanted a ribbon halter style and lots of Belle. I don't want to bore you with all the patchwork skirts, but that is the only "girly" pattern I have. Everything else is boy stuff.

Here are the boys' 4th outfits inspired by 2cutekids. NOTE- I DID NOT PICK OUT THE FABRIC- that is what I get for taking them to the store with me!

IMG_2471.jpg

One final thing- for those that have made the bowling shirts, how do the sizes run? Looking at my kids sizes, Cooper should be 18 months and Jackson should be 3t-4t. Now, my kids are teeny, but I don't want to make it too small. Right now, I plan to make a 3t-4t and see who it would fit. If it fits Jackson, I will downsize for Coops. If it fits Coops, I will upsize for J.

Belle is beautiful! I love patchwork skirts but they are time consuming for me.

The boys outfits are cute! The more I look at that first fabric, the more I like it -- definitely BOY!

All of the outfits are cute. I love the fabric combinations that your little guys picked out. I think that they are very cute together.

As for the bowling shirts I think that they run a little big, because the first one that I made I used the 3/4 pattern, but the little girl's mother says she wears a 5 perfectly. The shirt was a little loose on her. The same for her brother. His shirt is a little big on him too.

question for all of you, I have looked & looked but can't find any red/white polka dot fabric. Can anyone help me?

My JoAnns has it...let me know if want me to pick it up...there is a pic of my daughter in probably 20 pages back.

I had this serger YEARS ago. It was my first serger, I killed it and it scared me off sergers for years. It is very basic and hard to thread. All I could get it to do was serg, not gather. You may be better off just using the zigzag on your sewing machine.

There are lots of other ways to gather-I think there is a link in Teresa first post.

Hi, would y'all mind sharing where you found the cloth Disney books? Thanks! I've been searching :wizard: and doing tons of internet searches but come up empty.
I got mine at JoAnn's. It was prepackaged and list price of $12.95-glad I had a coupon.

Here's two more things that I completed yesterday and today.

For Michael:

I wish I had a better pic of this b/c I really liked how it turned out. The only thing that I don't like about it is that his shirt is too long for my taste. I'm going to cut it off and re-hem it.

This set is for one of Parker's friends. Her b'day was last week but we were out of town for her party. We will be seeing her tomorrow, I just hope it fits.

Michael's set is great but I LOVE that Minnie outfit! Really love the white in the skirt.

I made this top for our (hopefully!!!! ) trip... I wanted something "Minnie like" but adult version, what do you guys think??? can I wear this without looking ridiculous,??? I also made white Capri's and navy blue short skirt to wear with this

th_2007_06300009.jpg
Absolutely perfect for WDW for you! I would be prepared for lots of people asking you were you got it.;)

I finally have a photo to post...
This a top that Alexis will be wearing with a navy blue with white fluff petti. I was inspired by a top I saw on :wizard: last year. I bought the Disney cruise line jacket and hung on to it ever since.

Those are great too!

The bowling shirt is a very loose oversize fit. My DS(7) has a couple of simular shirts from Disney and Children's Place that are size 5/6 that just barely fit him so I made him a size 7/8 and it is a bit big on him but looks great. I had my DD(9) try it on-I usually buy her a size 10 top and it is loose on her.

I have never seen any of the really large white dot but have heard Hancocks has it (none of those around here) and that Walmart carries it closer to Halloween. I did buy some with dots about pencil eraser size dots from www.fabrichound.com.
