Thanks for the positive reviews, much appreciated :) It seems to get good ones on Tripadvisor and the price was right, as long as it's clean and secure then we're good :goodvibes

On a different topic: Does anyone know where I could get this fabric from? I'd prefer cotton but would go for flannel too.

There isn't any on eBay and Hancocks' website doesn't ship internationally..
I believe I saw it at Hancock Fabric.

If you have an embroidery machine, you can either digitize or buy a design that is for applique. I love the look of applique, so I do that more often than I do filled embroidery designs. If you buy the designs, just look for applique in the descriptions of the designs.

Here is a filled design that I did for my granddaughter last year

This is an appliqued one I did for her last month.

those are beautiful!

Here's two more things that I completed yesterday and today.

For Michael:

I wish I had a better pic of this b/c I really liked how it turned out. The only thing that I don't like about it is that his shirt is too long for my taste. I'm going to cut it off and re-hem it.

This set is for one of Parker's friends. Her b'day was last week but we were out of town for her party. We will be seeing her tomorrow, I just hope it fits.

So cute!

When sewing an out fit do you guys zig zag stitch all the seams? My nieces dress is almost den and it hads a lining which I have never done so I made a mistake and had to seem rip the shoulders.:furious: Now the seems at the shoulders are fraying a bit so i wanted to stop that so I was going to Zig Zag them?

Also does any one know of any goo tutorials on button holes? i cut the pieces for a bowling shirt for my son and it has buttons. Buttons are terrifying me! Maybe because I love the fabric so much and I don't want to ruin it.

Hi Everyone,

Well, I have the shirts and shorts finished for the Big Give family - I'll send them out this weekend!! JHAM made me a bow to go with the outfit for Isabelle - but I cant find the pic!!! It was really cute and colorful!!

Wendy
I love the outfits all of them!!!!

I am reposting this because I have become obsessed with finding this Mickey Icon fabric!!!!!!!:rotfl: Sorry if you answered it already I couldn't find it if you did.

Wendy where did you get the Pink and Blue Mickey Icon fabric? I love it! I even had my mom in Atlanta going to her fabric stores hunting for it yesterday! My DD8 saw the pink and now wants something made for our WDW trip with it so the both of us are itching to find it:rotfl2: :confused3

I love the iron ons too where did you find those?

Hi, would y'all mind sharing where you found the cloth Disney books? Thanks! I've been searching :wizard: and doing tons of internet searches but come up empty.

I got mine at hancock. The Pooh and Nemo ar half off right now. I got a Nemo one yesterday for $3.50! I get mine on the bolt. The packaged ones are like 9.99 and I may end up breaking down and getting the princess one.

Great job! My boys have matching outfits in that too. I did Jham's frayed applique on a black shirt. Great minds think alike, huh?

I think that Carla just did one on youcanmakethis.com I don't love buttonholes, but they aren't bad. I am surprised so many people on here who have AMAZING skills stay away from them- now zippers, that is another story!

I made this top for our (hopefully!!!! ) trip... I wanted something "Minnie like" but adult version, what do you guys think??? can I wear this without looking ridiculous,??? I also made white Capri's and navy blue short skirt to wear with this

I would zig-zag the seams that are fraying just to be careful and CarlaC just made a free button hole tutorial for YCMT.

Thanks for the button hole suggestion! I will head there later. I just did a zipper for my DD's dress and i have to make another one for my nieces. I figured might as well just jump in head 1st right::yes::

Linnette.

It looks great!

I finally have a photo to post...
This a top that Alexis will be wearing with a navy blue with white fluff petti. I was inspired by a top I saw on :wizard: last year. I bought the Disney cruise line jacket and hung on to it ever since.

Ignore the white petti...I think the Navy blue one will look a lot better..

We also had a visitor today in the yard. It was Harriet coming to say goodbye to big brother Franklin...(that's what the girls said)

This little turtle was about a quarter of the size that was in the yard the other day...and the girls found out the hard way, that sometimes turtles only defenses are it's...ca-ca and pee-pee...LOL...

I love the top. It looks so grown up.

Gross on the turtle. Turtles are nasty animals.

That is super cute! So is the model. It looks like Ireland's sunburn is getting better.
