Here is the Peter Pan outfit, check out the sharpie on the map! I had decided to make this right before our trip and didn't leave me enough time to finish the little detail! I must say though it doesn't stop people from loving it or wanting to buy it right then and there! I have had it on Dallas' top bed waiting to be fixed up for 2 years now!

I too was not about to ruin hours and hours of work with the face and had no time for anything so drew it in for the time being! How silly!

This also has the loose stitches jham was just talking about.
Oh my this is PRECIOUS! I love the boat on the back! :goodvibes

I just finished this tee for Zoe. She decided on our recent DLR trip that Jasmine is her current favorite princess - I think mostly because Jasmine wears pants. LOL This gave me a chance to see how well I did drawing her hands. I think they look OK but I might tweak them for the next princess.

th_jasmine_peek1.jpg

I also have done these tees in my continuing effort to use up some of the tees I've accumulated. I've been wanting to try some of the dwarfs since I've never done them so this was a fun chance to experiment.
I love these tshirts! I need to show them to my big kids!

Here is my latest And i have aHUGE thanks to Wendy for this one!!!!!!!:cheer2:

As I said i actually did the button holes:cool1: they weren't as hard as I thought! Next time though I think i will make one big button on this pattern. I know the way the button lays is wrong but I screwed up on the back part of the dres hence why I am not letting you all see it:rotfl: I was think I needed to make the pattern bigger so i made the neck part bigger ad did it wrong! by the tim eI realized it part of the back was already on and sewed really well so it wasn't coming off! The front came out better.

You can't see it in the picture but the light pink material has silver sparkles running through it.

So sweet the color looks so good on her too!

Well ladies one day my life is gonna slow down and really be a part of this thread! For now it looks like I will be lurking a bit longer. We were on our way out the fostering door so to speak. Swore we were done and I got sucked back in lol. There is a big story but whatever the reason this little prince is supposed to be at our home even if it is only a few weeks. Even if it is just God saying I am not done with you here yet. God slapped me in the head Tuesday afternoon and reminded me who I am supposed to be listening too, because I initially said no to this little guy because we wanted out and got sick to my stomach that I did as soon as it was done. I am so glad I listened to my heart and that things didn't work out because he is SUCH a sweet beautiful little boy. :goodvibes

I am amazed at the skill and creativity you people display on a daily basis. I am a novice sewer, have made a few costumes and easy skirts the last two years. I have yet to do a button hole or zipper, so feel very newbie-ish!!

Anyway, I just finished my first twirl skirt from one of the bookmarked tutorials!! Thanks so much!! My DD8 is twirling away. Sadly, I found you guys when she was too old to really enjoy the major ruffles and stuff.

I don't know how you guys crank out so many. The simple skirt took me about 6 hours!!!! She is a big kid, so the bottom layer was 180" around, so there was a lot of hemming and gathering. I used dental floss as I read somewhere on here, and it made things SO much easier!!!!

I bow to your superiority!!!:worship: :worship: :worship:

Sadly I cannot post a picture...never have mastered downloading from my camera. My DH is an IT by profession, so I've never bothered to learn much computer stuff. Getting tutored is on my list!!!

Anyway, AWESOME!! AMY
Welcome! Congrats on your twirl skirt but they are not simple. 6 hours really isn't too bad-especially first time out.

it is an iron on , i scanned the shorts fabric into the computer and used it as a background to mickey on a motorcycle and wrote born to be wild using the scanned in print of the fabric.
That sounds really cool!

Congrats on your first buttonhole!!!! It looks so cute on your DD and Daisy Mae looks so sweet!!!!

I LOVE it! It absolutely does NOT look like pajamas (and neither did your newest creation jham)!! I think it's absolutely adorable!!
Thanks!

I finished DD's 4th outfit. I love the way it turned out. She likes it a whole lot too!

that is great about the new little prince! I was watching adoption story this morning and i was thinking about you and it really warmed my heart watching it and then broke my heart at the thought of some of th emoms having to say good bye to these kids. I know it is all done in love and I was just really touched.

God bless you for doing fostering! I don't know if I'm cut out for it, but those babies need everyone like you who is willing to put yourselves out there for them!

I think we much to busy sewing these days to dig out silly pictures and sappy stories...... I'm just kidding that is one more thing that I love about you gals. And by the way to all you newbies- Welcome!!! And we need to see your silly pictures and hear your sappy stories too!! Crazy 80's hair- We want to see it!! "trendy cool" outfits from 20 years ago- YES we WANT to see it!! How you met your significant other, labor stories, the funny thing your kid did yesterday- ALL of IT!! We love it!! Unless you ARE to busy sewing then that's ok too!

I 2nd that!!!

I think I paid $1.50 for it. I guess not many parents in the area wanted pink tees for their sons. LOL

:rotfl:

Hi from a window shopper

I've been sewing up a storm for dd8, though all non-Disney sundresses and skorts. Now I want to move on to some Disney items for our trip in 42 days

I'm looking for some Disney PARK clipart or coloring pages for appliques, like the Tree of Life or the DHS sorcerer's hat or a ride logo, etc. I've searched the bookmarks, googled and checked all of dd's WDW coloring books to no luck. Since I also have a ds15 and a dd13, I can't use princess-y or cutesy designs for our matching shirts.

I do not have fun software to manipulate images, just Paint. And my tech support (ds15!) is currently hiking in New Mexico with Boy Scouts for another week.

Any ideas or links would be greatly appreciated Thanks!
It sounds like you've done everything I would have done to try and find some patterns! Sorry I can't help more!

Wow!! Look at those little cuties!!! The outfits are absolutely adorable. Great job!!!!!!

But the good news...I am going out to eat with DH tonight for our ANNIVERSARY!!! 8 Years!!! Yipee!   (It's actually Sunday, but we thought we would take advantage of my parents being here!) We are going to MY favorite place, The Melting Pot! YUM!!!!! We go there every year except last year because of crazy family stuff:headache: (drama, drama, drama) so I am really looking forward to this! Plus, since we have moved we have not been out to eat just the two of us! That's 9 months!!!!

I'll try to post pics of the new outfit this afternoon.
Happy anniversary!!! Have a great date night!!

I think the hem's a little crooked. :rotfl: Oh, I cracky myself up!

Seriously, I think it'll be REALLY cute! I love the mixture of the different patterns. I've seen others do it a lot and it always turns out cute!

UGH! Today is sucky.
It sounds like you need a

Yep it's a sickness alright! I think I'll call it Bargain hunter syndrome, with a touch of "just in case-itis" on the side.
:rotfl:

Oh, you MUST figure out how to post pictures! That's a requirement! We want pictures!!!!

She is gorgeous, the puppy is so cute, and the dress is fabulous!!!!

Wow! That's the most patriotic outfit I've ever seen! So cute!!

You are WONDERFUL!!!  Do you know for sure this will just be a short placement?

You are WONDERFUL!!!  Do you know for sure this will just be a short placement?

You are sweet but like I have said before we are in it for our own selfish reasons. Which honestly may have come true without us being involved with fostering. I have always thought in my heart our baby would come from a phone call unrelated to CPS and I got one of those calls yesterday. Someone whose DD is pregnant and they are looking at options and know we have a lot of love to give a baby. Those of you that pray say a few for me, I am going to talk to an Emom in a few weeks. I am not even for certain that she is going to put the baby/ or BABIES up for adoption but there is a definate chance. And from what we have been told I do not think she can handle it all because she also has another little one. We would no nothing for sure until Feb but it would or could be so worth the wait. :goodvibes I keep wondering if this E mom is the reason for it all.

Anyway D we have no idea how long we will have him for. We were told initially Dec or next June. There is a family member that changed thier minds about taking him though and the judge could send him there if the initial checks turn out well. So no we have no clue how long he will be here lol. We are taking it one day at a time and just adoring him while he is here. We have decided though if we stay in we will only be taking infants and only one at a time it is what we can handle without a doubt and what we enjoy. :goodvibes Well minus my lack of sleep lol.

Oh please tell me that she's wearing that to some kind of parade or something!

Yep...she is going to be in the parade tomorrow near our new home town. My Dad flew helicopters in Vietnam and now he belongs to a group of pilots. The group has four (maybe five now) Nam Era choppers that are permantly mounted to trailers. They take them to schools and do parades and festivals with them. Not very often, but sometimes the kids get to go with him. Tomorrow they get to ride with him...they are so excited! I have shorts for the boys also. I'll post some pics from the parade this weekend.

Heather Sue,

Morgan got mail!!!!! She is dancing around the house LOL.

I have actually been sewing. I made a short set out of the new purple tink, a red, white and blue Mickey (for M's 3 year anniversary of becoming a citizen!). I will try and post some pictures later.

Oh and I bought a new pattern today fully intending to FOLLOW the pattern:rotfl: and have already changed my mind and am redesigning the pattern LOL.

I am mad at all of you. I just found this thread and read the ENTIRE thing today. I am going to get fired. And it's all your fault! :)

Worse than that, I now have a burning desire to go to Joann's and buy tons of stuff I don't need.

I haven't sewed in...how old is my son? 2 years, except for a few small things. This thread has really inspired me to get back to it.

Thank you everyone for sharing your creations!!!

I'm going to put a bunch of stuff on photobucket so I can share mine. That is, if it's okay to share stuff I made a while ago...

OK everybody-

Well, I hate to make you even more mad, but this is the 6th thread in this series. So, you have 5 more ENTIRE THREADS to read!!! 4 of them are 250 pages long and thread #1 is an insane number of pages long! :rotfl: No, we don't actually expect you to read all of those, I'm just joshin' yah. After all, we don't want you to get fired. You need money to buy fabric now!

Anyway, :welcome:!!! You are MORE than welcome to post pictures of old stuff. You can even post them in our photobucket album that's posted in the first thread, if you'd like.

Isabelle's and Hannah's and Logan's outfits are AMAZING!!! Y'all are awesome!!! I'm not getting anything done for watching for new pics your all your creations!! I hope no one comes over and sees this house. I'm addicted!!! I have got to stop this madness, but it's so much fun to see the things you come up with. Y'all are so gifted!

SNICKERS® SALAD

5-6 apples, cored and cubed
1 lg. container Cool Whip
3-4 SNICKERS® candy bars, cut into sm. pieces

Mix all of the above ingredients and refrigerate. Makes a real yummy salad.

this is the recipe that I had in my cooking files....

Sorry I've been missing in action!!! Was in the hospital with pain medication(morphine) to control pain, hopefully by tomorrow I will be back to my sewing

This was getting to be a huge multi quote because I was two days behind.
So I think I just want to say I love all the new outfits!:goodvibes :goodvibes
Adorable little kids in great outfits.

Happy Fourth of July!
I need to make a pound cake for tomorrow. A special request from my Mother-in-law.
I also need to finish up a shirt I started for DD.

I have to respond to this. . .

You are a very special family! Does this mean you lost your sewing room??;) I will say a prayer that you have a new addition to your family one way or the other! :cloud9:
