Very cute! And :rotfl2: about Disney Sewing Central! I know what you mean, the corner of my living room is mine!!

minnie2- I don't think the boys would mind some ruffles as long as they aren't pink or anything! :rotfl:

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

This morning, I've gotten my notebook out and I'm trying to design all the outfits I need to make for both girls for all 7 days. This is quite an undertaking!! Some days, I need to make more than one outfit for. Like when we go to CRT, I need princess outfits, but for the rest of the day at MK, I need to make more casual outfits because my oldest dd hates dresses, lol. Then for Animal Kingdom, I need to make outfits, then one for the Luau that night. I'm stuck on the pirate outfit, I really have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm gonna wing it and hope it turns out ok! pirate:

Ariel dress #2

I finished my oldest daughter's Ariel dress. I need to shorten the straps on top, but other than that, it's finished!

And here they are together-

I'm very happy with both the dresses, but am so tired of that Ariel material!! :rotfl: I can't wait to get started on a different print, and a different type of outfit!

Renae

I am so amazed that you sewed those by HAND! And pantsless! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: No seriously, They are awesome.

Here is the outfit I made Lily yesterday. I love the way the easy zig zag applique turned out. These are her Megan pants.

Luke did not want to be left out of the photos. He is wearing his pirate pants I made him a couple of days ago.

He has a new pose: :sad2:

Great outfit! I love the fabric. I have picked it up a few times, and put it back each time, but I love how this turned out!

I just finished this tee for Zoe. She decided on our recent DLR trip that Jasmine is her current favorite princess - I think mostly because Jasmine wears pants. LOL This gave me a chance to see how well I did drawing her hands. I think they look OK but I might tweak them for the next princess.

th_jasmine_peek1.jpg

I also have done these tees in my continuing effort to use up some of the tees I've accumulated. I've been wanting to try some of the dwarfs since I've never done them so this was a fun chance to experiment.

Your applique is incredible! I love the shirts!!

Here is what I made for the kids this week with my new sewing machine.

It is supposed to have a button on the back but I haven't tried a buttonhole (ever) and I was afraid I would mess the outfit up.

I wish all patterns ran the same. I made this a size 3 (she wears a 5T or 4/5 in a shirt and it is too big in the top. If she isn't careful, it will be hanging off one shoulder. At least she will be able to wear it for a while, I'll just need to pick up some more of this fabric to keep in the stash so I can add some tiers to it as it gets shorter.

They look adorable! And festive!

I thought I would share some pics from my recent beach trip. We had a great trip and there were so many great pics but I am just posting some of the custom photos. Here are the kids in their beach customs:

Roseanna and her friends in thier matching sundresses

Roseanna and friends on beach with Russell being very uncooperative for the pic (he wouldn't look and was always running away) I found this great polo that coordinated with the dresses

Roseanna and Russ in thier crab outfits

Looks like you had a great time! I love all the outfits, esp. the sundresses!

This is the outfit I came up with Joy for Animal Kingdom. I wanted to go with a zebra design. It can go either way, totally cute or butt ugly!! :rotfl2:

I would love your opinions, I'm not sure if I like it or not. I just want a zebra themed outfit with minnie incorporated into it. Dd#1 wants to be a cheetah, so I thought dd#2 as a zebra would be cute. It would be a white top with a minnie head applique, then the skirt is black/white polka dots (smaller than what I drew), a zebra (yes, that is a zebra! :lmao: ) and then zebra stripes, with minnie trim. It would be stripwork and hopefully have a full skirt and I would make a diaper cover for underneath.

Please feel free to tweak it, I'm just not sure if it all works together.

Thanks!! Renae

Very cute!! Yes, the colors work great together, it helps seeing a real-life visual! I wasn't sure if all the different patterns would look good together or not, but after seeing yours, I think they will! Thanks for sharing!

Hi all! I have not been able to catch up! Everyone has been so busy and all of the BIG GIVE outfits look great!

My parents are coming this weekend, so I have been busy getting ready for them. And trying to keep the kids busy at the same time.

I almost have DD's outfit done for the parade Friday. It has taken longer than it should...made a few crazy mistakes!:headache: And I ran out of elastic so now I have to run to Wal-mart today.

But the good news...I am going out to eat with DH tonight for our ANNIVERSARY!!! 8 Years!!! Yipee!   (It's actually Sunday, but we thought we would take advantage of my parents being here!) We are going to MY favorite place, The Melting Pot! YUM!!!!! We go there every year except last year because of crazy family stuff:headache: (drama, drama, drama) so I am really looking forward to this! Plus, since we have moved we have not been out to eat just the two of us! That's 9 months!!!!

I'll try to post pics of the new outfit this afternoon.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! i feel your pain o not having a date night in months! DH and I are the only ones in our family in this state so we NEVER go out. When my SIL's took my kids to WDW in March my DH caught the flue! then we fought so no dates for us. Have fun!

Like it. What about not using the black polka dots but make it zebra print on both sides? Then Zebra in the center of the Mickey head?

I think the colors work-I used them LOL

I really like it!!! I think if you are worried sbout it being too busy mabye take the pp's suggestion of nixing the dots and just doing zebra?

LOVE the matching beach outfits for the girls and the brother/sister outfits! They are sooo cute!
The peekaboo face tshirts are great, along with the peter pan shortalls!
You guys are so inspiring! I think I need to go get to work on something else for DS!

UGH! Today is sucky. I was up late last night finishing little's 4th dress and when we got home at 11:00 DS wanted to sit on the couch and snuggle and watch a movie. RV just came from netflix and B and I hadn't seen it. We haven't had much extra time for mac lately and even though we have 2 weekend trips to WDW in the next month (we're going again the 2nd weekend in Aug. Cause B has a charity gig in Orlando) we felt bad so at darn near midnight we started a movie. One that was much to funny to fall asleep on. Well, I almost made it;) So I am EXHAUSTED. Not to mention DH was sent home from work yesterday for not shaving. By my dad. Now, he had been told by my mom to be at work at 8 and my dad called at 7:10 while he was getting ready and said he needed him at 7:30 so B went off w/out shaving. Then got sent home for it. My dad tends to throw huge fits so there's no talking to him. Fine. He just cut B's paycheck in half but that's fine. So Brandon spent the entire day at home thinking about how much he hates his job and how he needs to do XYZ to bring in more income from his music and today he's NOT coming to work. He's used every excuse he can come up w/ but really he's just being a baby and wants to stay home and be a musician.
 I get that. I do. But right now we have bills to pay and kids to feed and he is just being stupid. I tried to get him to see that if he doesn't go to work we won't have the money for him to play his music out at all, usually we spend more just getting to a gig than it pays, if it pays at all. Recording time is $65 an hour, he projects his next CD will cost $3500 to put out between recording, duplication and packaging.

There is nothing I can say to help this situation. I tried being mad, I tried being reasonable. But if I say you can't quit and focus on your music it boils down to one thing...I'm not supportive, I don't believe in him.

It doesn't help that we are in the middle of a sinkhole loss and my mortgage will likely be paid off in the next month or so. So he just must be thinking that we can make it on my student loans and his playing out. When that is hardly the case. I am so flustered right now. He's going to stay home and play video games all day and NOT pick up my house or cut the grass or anything else productive b/c he is pouting like a baby.

OKAY, I'm finished. I'm sorry. I did finish littles 4th outfit but I didn't get a picture, I'll post one after work today. She wears stuff I made to school all the time but this is her first holiday custom, YAY! I didn't make pants to go w/ it. I just figured she could wear some capris. She needs some summer bottoms so I will use it as an excuse to buy her some. I may change my mind before tomorrow actually comes though;)

AND...we used the ruffler last night. My MIL was like "20 something years I've had this attachment and was too lazy to figure it out, how much time have I wasted ruffling by hand???" needless to say we were astonished. Now we have to optimize it and figure out how to attach and gather at the same time then we're gold!:goodvibes

Big Give 1 outfit!!

and being modeled by Zofia who is a tad smaller than Isabelle... (hopefully these will be Capri's on her)
clothingcreations077.jpg

Do you think it needs something else? Maybe "T I N K" appliqued on the leg? Or just leave it?

I love it just the way it is!

Lily is looking super cute in her "flamingo" pants, and lukes pose is very very ah creative. I was looking for that fabric today the one you used for lukes pants. Where did you get it. I was looking at joanns. I wanted to use it for logans outfit. I did find something different to use, but I was still wondering wher you got it.

I did get the pirate fabric at Joanns

That is such a good idea to get the outfits all drawn out. I am really bad about forgetting my grand plans and never finishing what I buy the fabric for. I am not much an artist so I just hope I can tell what I drew!

My MAW give is done! I decided to leave the dress as is. I just couldn't get the sash to look right and I was worried about the durability of the bows. I did make matching hair bows.

Hi from a window shopper :)

I've been sewing up a storm for dd8, though all non-Disney sundresses and skorts. Now I want to move on to some Disney items for our trip in 42 days :)

I'm looking for some Disney PARK clipart or coloring pages for appliques, like the Tree of Life or the DHS sorcerer's hat or a ride logo, etc. I've searched the bookmarks, googled and checked all of dd's WDW coloring books to no luck. Since I also have a ds15 and a dd13, I can't use princess-y or cutesy designs for our matching shirts.

I do not have fun software to manipulate images, just Paint. And my tech support (ds15!) is currently hiking in New Mexico with Boy Scouts for another week.

Any ideas or links would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks!
Sorry no advice but I did want to welcome you!

I love this. I don't think it looks like pj's
Thanks!

What a great oufit and picture!!!!

UGH! Today is sucky.
 and:wizard:

I had originally planned on cutting out several of the stars and appliqueing them on the shirt but they aren't straight lined stars and wasn't sure how they would look. Then I thought I would just make a star applique out of the material but I couldn't free hand a good enough looking one before he had to wear it today for their playgroup.

Got any ideas?

What about one squares with snoopy or you could letters with the snoopy fabric that spell freedom or snoopy or 2008. I would do the zig zag applique. I have decided that's what I am going to do for ds. I bought some of that faux patch work fabric from joanns with all different sayings and fireworks on it.

If you notice in the background DD's chair is covered with a towel for the same reason!

It's a sickness! I check clearance racks, too, even though Zoe doesn't need any more clothes! It's not quite as bad as my fabric shopping problem but close. ;)
BTW - I kick myself that I didn't buy more of the pink tees. It's actually from the boys' department at Wal Mart and it was marked down a lot. I think I paid $1.50 for it. I guess not many parents in the area wanted pink tees for their sons. LOL
Yep it's a sickness alright! I think I'll call it Bargain hunter syndrome, with a touch of "just in case-itis" on the side.
I saw the pirate fabric at walmart tonight (that Luke is wearing).
Thanks
