Package delivery from parks to DVC

I had heard a rumor that Disney was not going to deliver packages from the parks to the resorts for free anymore. that there was going to be a charge for package delivery. Can anyone verify this and would DVC members be exempt from those charges? Sorry, why would I think that would be the case?

hi: we had packages delivered from the parks on both our may and sept trips last year. i haven't heard anything to the contrary. i don't go home again til may so maybe someone else going sooner or just back can help you out.

The only recent comments about delivery charges involve a fee to accept and hold external shipments (like from netgrocer or anything shipped to the resort to be held until your arrival). Those charges reportedly apply to DVC members- as we are probably the ones who created a need for the charge.
I've seen no reports about any change in the free package delivery between parks and resorts. That program was probably initiated to encourage shopping throughout the day- instead of having most people flood the shops at closing because they didn't want to lug packages around all day.

We use this service at least 1-2 times each stay. If I had to start paying for it, I would probably stop spending $$$ at the parks. Free delivery is an incentive for me to buy there.

there were some questions being asked on WDW surveys recently about how folks use the package delivery and would you be willing to pay for it.

We used the service in early Feb. for delivery back to the Wilderness Lodge Villas and it was the same as it had always been....free or in more real terms, complimentary not really free just a perk associated with your Disney resort stay.

I have a question about the Disney surveys that I will post on an appropriate board.
