Pacific Wharf transformation to San Fransokyo this summer

Glad to see that the restaurants will remain the same. This is our family's favorite spot to eat in DCA.

The beer garden addition, I don't like. That area is a critical seating area and losing tables won't be great. The beer truck is good enough, IMO.

I'm guessing we will see some of the Baymax inspired food items that Tokyo Disney serves. I'm hoping for better Asian food, in particular. That place has always been uninspired.

I’m also in the “whatever“ category. They’re taking a San Francisco themed area and making it a futuristic San Francisco themed area. This seems unnecessary, especially since it seems like everything will basically stay the same anyway.

One positive I could see is if the area gets more fun/interesting lighting at night. It’s pretty dark there at night time.

I also hope that the refresh comes with some additional or upgraded food items. I still miss the Sonoma Chicken Apple Salad bread bowl option. It was nice to have on a hot day when I didn’t feel like having a big bowl of cream soup in the heat!

As always, I’m going to reserve judgment until I actually visit myself, but I am curious whether the new bridge is going to look cool in person, or if it’ll just look tacky.

I like the theming but am glad to hear that the eateries will remain generally unchanged. Pacific Wharf Cafe is the best!

It sounds like most of the food will stay, with new menu items added. So let's hope so! I need my quesabirria tacos and my Boudin sourdough!

If those Birria Tacos disappear, there will be riots.

I would really be shocked if they went away. Any food item that is so popular that they limit how many you can order has got to stay. (And those are so successful that they are now putting birria all over the place! On grilled cheese, on fries, in egg rolls...)

Where are the birria tacos? I've never tried them. Sounds like I need to.

I didn't realize Big Hero 6 was popular enough to re-theme Pacific Wharf around it. I wonder if they're making a sequel?

This looks like an incredibly quick and lazy retheme. So much lost opportunity, but maybe Imagineering will surprise me.

It’s a win because it looks like the birria tacos and sour dough are still going to be there.

With that said, Disney really picks the strangest things to use up park Cap Ex on. Save the money spent on this “upgrade” and put it towards revamping tomorrow land sooner, or hell, even just refurbishing some rides.

I wish they would stop spending money on things no one has asked for.

This is the issue I have.
Frozen and Frozen 2 are the two biggest selling animated movies Disney has ever made, and they get a crappy meet and greet inside an animation building.
Where is their area?!
I am a little bitter, that the Asian Parks are getting entire Frozen areas and all DL has is a meet and greet (and both sisters are rarely there together anymore either)
WDW has a rethemed ride and that's it also.

Where is the Frozen land?! Heck, I'd settle for a tiny rethemed area anyday. And it's a lot more popular than Baymax.
