We rented points for our August vacation and then a short while after that decided to purchase our own contract. So we're vacationing on rented points in August, but we are DVC owners.

Does anyone know if we'll still be eligible for items like the free internet or is that only when you own and stay on your own points? :confused3

Thanks!

If your room key has "DVC MEMBER" printed on it, you will probably be OK, but I would have my blue membership card available to have the front desk remove the charges if they appear on your bill. You will be able to enjoy all other perks since you will have a membership card available.

Have a great stay! :)

Technically, no. Since you compensated the member for the reservation, you are considered a renter and not entitled to any member perks other than the ones you would get even without a reservation - dining, shopping, AP discount. If the reservation had been a gift and no compensation received by the member, the guest might have been entitled to some DVC member perks.

This comes from the Public Offering Statement.
