Owners, what contract are you going to sell if CRV is offered?

We'll most likely just add on but I am thinking of selling my Vero regardless. We only go every two years or so and I end up using my points elsewhere. If we do sell, I'll add on more BWV or CRV if that becomes a reality.

Well, I have a LOT of choices....pay for the extra 15 years on OKW contracts, add to AKV, sell OKW....Nope... I think I'll keep what I have just the way it is. If I do any more adding on, it will be more AKV points. I have zero interest in CRV. It just looks like a high rise that will blight the view of the MK from WL and campgrounds to me.

A little off topic, but I'm assuming that CRV means Contemporary Resort Villas? I was at the Contemporary Resort on Dec. 7 and asked about the construction. The story I got, was that Minnie really wanted a Beach House, and being the great boyfriend that Mickey is, he decided to tear down some of the Contemporary to build Minnie her Beach House. Now if when Mickey is done, and Minnie decides that she doesn't want a Beach House and wants a Vacation Club Getaway, then that is up to Minnie to decide as it is her Beach House after all. The CM who was telling me this was quite good and stuck to his guns with this story. He wouldn't give anything away!!

unless there is a very large minimum buy-in instituted; we'll just add on enough to bank/borrow (same as for the other 2 contracts) - nothing like the 11 month window

If we are put into a position where we have to sell, probably would sadly wave goodbye to the smaller of our contracts...they tend to fetch big bucks for resale as in an economical way to join the club.

You know, I look at this big secret about CRV a marketing ploy to build the "drama" surrounding its inevitable annoucement. They want to create a frenzy so that when it does go on sale, they hope to have this mad rush. Just like they did with the real estate market a couple of years ago......come prepared to write a contract and check on the q-t, or you won't get that house!! Same type of hype I sense here........oh the plot thickens!

I love the Epcot resorts and their location the best so maybe I will buy at CRV but I am not that excited about it. Now if it was the GF or the Poly that would be another matter.......

After adding on I would have exactly what I want, walking distance to EPCOT and than walking distance to the MK. Now the next step is convincing my DH that we should add-on when they make the announcement.

I would sell my SSR points, we dont stay there, we use the ssr points as filler points for other DVC resort stays and i always tell MS to take SSR points first.

I would buy CRV,POLYV, GFV and Laurabearz BCV points when she buys GCA
points!

of our BWV, SSR , & BCV, the BCV would be the first to go (we have no interest in staying there again).
since that contract is only 60 points, we would need to beef it up some though (maybe 100-150pts, depending upon incentives).

Own OKW(220), BCV(150), and SSR(150) - no interest in CRV so won't be selling any to buy there. Will take my chances for getting a villa at 7 months if we decide to try it sometime since we usually travel at the off seasons except when we do Christmas and then I want my OKW 2 BR or GV anyway.

We will add-on with CRV, but we may sell our SSR contract and buy a resale at BCV or VWL to go with the CRV and VB. We just bought a Starwood ski week so we might want to drop the total number of DVC points a bit.

Did get a CM to tell us that the construction is going to be "mixed use". So I think it may be part DVC-part family suites. This was Friday after Thanksgiving while riding the monorail over to the GF for lunch(had a late flight back and had to kill sometime after check out).

I wouldn't add on or sell any other contract. We have VWL, BWV and AKV. Those are all favorites of ours. We may try to stay at the Contemporary some time in the future but we don't need to own points there to do that. We have too many points for us to use now the way it is.

It looks like we have several smaller contracts from add-ons that will have to be converted into orthodontia for our three kids -- so straight teeth are going to trump CRV!
