After returning from yet another good BWV trip a few weeks ago, I was just curious as to how many other DVCers are using the purple lockers? I used mine for the first time and it just seems like a no-brainer to me. I know that someone posted a question about the whole system but I was just wondering how many of us are actually using one for our many DVC stays at WDW. Who out there is using it presently and how are you liking it??

I am a beta tester. We are using our locker for the second time three weeks from now. I arranged to have it delivered last night. By the time I went back to my email the arrangement for delivery had already been confirmed. I can't wait to find my locker when I get to BWV. I am pretty sure I will be using the Owner's Locker service for a long time!

I am also a beta tester (so I have a blue locker.) We love it! Will be picking it up 3 more times in the next year for a total of 4 times in the first year of using the service. It is SO wonderful not to have to pack all the stuff that we now store in our locker.

Okay, help me out. What is an owner's locker?

I'm a Beta too!

Love, LOVE, LOVE my OL!

Will continue after Beta is over.

John and Brian's service is excellent.

To the poster above me.

OwnersLocker is a very clever idea, where you own a large plastic locker that stays in an environmentally stable storage area between your Orlando visits. It is for things you don't want to pack/schleep/forget. Like a good Wine Opener, a Brita Water Pitcher, Sun Tan Lotion, etc.

They pick it up and drop it off for you as well.

They are listed all over this sub board, with links.

Check-it out and list me as a referrence.

I just checked out their website, and didn't see a fee for drop off/pick up. Is that included in the annual fee, or is that a seperate charge?

I tried to get a similar thread off the ground about a week ago. I am interested in what types of stuff people are packing. We are doing the Brita Filter pitcher all sorts of toiletries, Pop Tarts, Micro Popcorn, Fruit snacks.....We plan on going about 3-4 times over the next year.
What are you guys packing away in the OL?
Chris

We filled ours this month... cosmetics, tennis shoes, ponchos, umbrella, laundry supplies, beach towels, funoodles for the pool, jackets, better blowdryer, first aid supplies, hats, sunglasses... :thumbsup2

Enna,
Try the "Sign up Now" page on the site. It details the costs. there are also extensive packing lists on the Owner's Locker forums in the Community section of the site. Any other questions, feel free to PM me.
John

LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!

It's packed to the gills & I'm afraid we might be moving into our 2nd locker before long.

One way or another I WILL get all my possessions to Florida even if it means I have to do it in purple boxes! :goodvibes

We love the concept of MORE STUFF LESS BAGGAGE that OL provides us. I keep the ponchos, flip flops, detergent, shampoo, nail set, eyeglass kit, small sewing kit, beach coverup, bath bombs from Basin, umbrella, etc. I just had mine picked up yesterday and wrote a note to bring down slippers, razors and a sweatshirt when I come down next month.

We also used our OL for our son and Daugher in law when they used our BCVs points on their honeymoon. In Feb., we put in Mickey Wedding Ears, toasting glasses, a Just Married ornament, etc. inside and they opened it up when they arrived in July. When we opened it back up last week, we found a few surprises from them!

I love this concept and now can pack less and still have more!

I'm also a Beta tester. I'm anxious to use it for the second time when I check into BCV TOMORROW, but one thing I've learned already-make sure you carefully list what you've put in it! They gave me a real nice sheet for that, but I just haphazardly filled it out, and now I'm sitting here going "Gel? What kind of gel did I put in-body wash, hair gel, antibacterial gel??" They give you the sheet to list the contents-use it! So it's going to be a real surprise tomorrow to see all of what's there.

Greatest improvement in our vacationing since the switch to DVC vacations. Absolutely love this service and hope to never be without it again. So happy that there are people like John and Brian who know what I need before I do!

Ours is STUFFED full!! We have all of the toiletries plus an airbed & pump and two blankets.

We can't wait until we can store a CAR!!

I love my Locker!

I just wanted to share, that it allows you to move around more freely.

Dh and I are going to Vegas next month over the holiday weekend. I was able to put the 8 - 13th together at OKW, so now I am leaving Vegas straight to Orlando for F&W Fest with my sister:banana:

Without my OL, I would have to pack extra and haul it all to Vegas and then to WDW because for such a quick trip, I wont have a car and will use ME.

So having a locker, has put me at ease and I am able to squeeze in an extra trip with no hassle.

OL is like the cherry on top!

Bobbi, I didnt fill out my sheet but reading your post gave me an idea. I will take pictures of everything in the locker with my digital and that way I will know what's in it. I think someone else a while back shared that idea.

I am also considering adding an extra locker for our Disney Clothes. We have items we only wear at Disney and I could put a pair of crocs for each of us in it.

We will have used our locker 4 times this year, so the unlimited dropoffs is soooo worth it!

Aw shucks, Liferbabe, jekjones, MinnieGirl and Pinnie, you know how to make a boy blush!! Thanks for the kind words!!

Ebenmax, we will store anything that doesn't move--including a car---and I'm serious!

Simba's Mom, don't forget that you can create a confidential online inventory of your Locker's contents on your dashboard so you'll always know what you have stored.
John

Having a place to store two of my life necessities - a duvet and Nutella - is absolute heaven.

Combined with the absolutely top tier customer service which the team provides, OL is a no brainer to me....

and yes, John, I KNOW that I need to call you.... I'm feeling very very guilty!
