The topic really says it all....do I need to take a bicycle like lock for my own stroller to use while we're riding??? Will there even be a place/object to lock it onto? What's the Disney opinion of locking stuff to parts of their park?

Thanks,
Pye

I took my Maclaren and didn't have any problems. I just parked it among the others and it was there when we returned. Some times, especially at IASM, the CMs rearrange them. I don't think they like you to lock them to anything as then they can't rearrange them but I'm sure a bike lock on the tire to keep would be thieves from taking it might help.

We didn't use one on our stroller. We just tied a shirt onto the handle (so that it would be easier to recognize) and parked it next to the rest of them. We didn't have any problems.

were leaving on FRI (YA YA YA YA YA YA YA ) and i just painted in bright red nail polish our name on both sides of the handle of the stroller and I got at joanns mickey ribbon to tie to the handle I do have a bike lock that im bringing incase we leave it for long periods of time but not for every ride etc.

We have a retractable cable ski lock that we use with our stroller. We put the lock through the wheels...it can still be moved my cast members if need be. It makes my husband feel better having it locked.

I've taken MANY strollers, very expensive ones and inexpensive ones, and it was the inexpensive one that got stolen, well it could have been misplaced. I've never locked them or done anything out of the ordinary to "mark" it and I've never had a problem, with the exception of the one that got away. It was a $10 or so stroller from Target, and it was gone one day. I really didn't care since it was $10 and there are just so many of them, it might have been an honest mistake. So, I now bring my strollers from home, my kids are more comfortable in their usual strollers, and I like it better since I'm used to pushing it!!! I also don't believe that you can lock your stroller to anything at WDW, you can place the lock through the wheels like the other posters have recommended.

You are not allowed to lock strollers or anything else inside the Disney parks.

CM must be able to move them to keep the sidewalks, etc safe for people.

Thanks for the advice....we don't even own a bike lock & I'm not really the type to lock things up....usually leave car open, etc. But I'm glad to hear that theft is not a big problem at Disney either. I probably will not bother with the lock, but do appreciate the idea of the lock on the wheels...hadn't thought of that.
