I know it's overwhelming. What kind of food do you like? Do you like buffets? Do you want to have character meals? Those are some of the questions to figure out, and then you can decide which restaurants near which parks would interest you on a particular day.

I would start by checking out some of the menus. Jot down some of the ones that sound good and go from there :)

I'v spent all night doing this. Seriously. Its hard because you have to plan where you will be and what you may be doing. I hate to plan everything but i dont want to miss out on TS because i did'nt make ADR's.
(sorry for my spelling...its 1:30am )
Here we go
Day
1 - Mama Rose fantasmic package MGM
2 - whispering canyon - day at AK
3 - la ceilla steakhouse - epcot
4 - chef mickey breakfast then off to the MK
5 - off site
6 - L'Originale Alfredo di roma
7 - Hoop De Doo

Where can i find phone numbers to get ADR's. I need to see if i can get that sat. night Hoop De doo and i'll go from there.

And don't fret!! Two months isn't really rushing things. (BUt do try for the Hoopdedoo ASAP). Just give it your best shot and if plans change when you are actually AT WDW--that happens to lots of folks. You can always cancel any ADR you've made and try to get something else on short notice.

It is overwhelming I agree, especially if you haven't been in years. Things change so much.

I would recommend a few ADR's just to be on the safe side. I sometimes call in the morning and see whats available at a certain park. Sometimes you luck out, it's very difficult to plan so far ahead.
No one wants to spend their week in restaurants especially if you haven't been to the parks in a few years. Yet no one want to be disappointed either. I know in October it was almost impossible to get seating at an Epcot restaurant. We just ate elsewhere.

I try to pick one sit down restaurant in each of the parks on a trip. Make an ADR for that restaurant. Don't know how long you will be staying, but we make an ADR every other night. This seem to work out good for us.

To make things a little easier, I would first decide which days you will be at which parks. Then I would look at the restaurants in each of those parks and decide that way.

If you want to eat at a resort, try to find one close to the park you will be at that day. For example, if you are going to be in MK, try to eat at Chef Mickeys or 1900 Park Faire or O'hana. They are all a quick monorail ride from the park. Or choose the other restaurants in those resorts that don't have character meals. If you will be in the epcot area you can choose something in the countries in the world showcase or dine at the YC/BC or on the boardwalk. I don't know what hotel you are staying at but if you choose to take a day off from the parks you can just make an ADR for the restaurant in your hotel or just choose to eat at the food court that night.

Try not to get too overwhelmed...try to make it fun.

Good luck and let us know what ADR's you choose.
