I live in the mountains of North Carolina. Obviously, there are some things affected by mountain living...cell phone service is best with one company due to altitude, etc.

That said, we just switched from Directv to Dish. I'm in for two years.

Now, we need to cut costs and I think bundling or reviewing services may be the answer but I am a bit overwhelmed. So, my contracts are up on the following and I can seek different service.

**Cell - contracts are up with Verizon (best service here in the Mountains, only other comparable are US Cellular...at&t spotty, t mobile not an option here). 2 phones = $110 w/1000 minutes, free mobile to mobile and nights and weekends.

**Local phone - with at&t/bellsouth. We want to keep a local 'number' due to having small children. (bundled with internet)

** Internet service - also with at&t and for adequate speed + phone = $85-$90 per month

It just seems as I begin to look at certain services I keep getting diverted or can't get a clear answer as to 1) whether they offer service in my area 2) an accurate price listing of each service separately, etc.

I get started but end up bouncing all over the place and getting frustrated:confused: Has someone conquered the 'system' enough to help me gain results?

Thank you!

Seems to me if you want to bundle things and you MUST keep your landline phone you're going to want to bundle with AT&T. However, AT&T no longer bundles with Dish due to numerous problems, only with DirectTV as far as I know. And you're currently locked in to Dish.

So to bundle I'm thinking you would have to do:

Landline and internet only
Landline, cell and internet

All from AT&T.

Are you saying that you've called about these bundles and can't get answers?

If that's the case, try your local AT&T/Bellsouth website for 'online chat'. And ask for first the cost for one bundle listed above. Be sure to ask specifically for ANY AND ALL upfront charges including activation fees, installation fees, etc. Also ask about length of contracts and cancellation fees. PRINT the chat transcript when you're all done. And then start a new chat to ask about the other bundle.

The chat transcripts will protect you if there is a problem on the first couple bills. :goodvibes
