We have said the last 2 visits to DW that we'd love to do US. Now that DW is book for the first week in Oct, we are contemplating a 1 day visit to US. However, Im starting to think 2 days is more realistic(however it may not be for our budget).
We'd be staying at DW as the free dining is a catch for us (2 adults 2 children)
So, Where do I begin? I've seen the maps, and as the first time I saw the maps to MK, Poof over my head. I have a 4 yr old dd(40") and a 5 yr old ds(44"). They are just recently getting really into Harry Potter, which excites me. I thought they'd be too young, but they quite enjoy the movies! So, that is def something we'd be interested in doing. I haven't seen what all there is in that section yet. *gasp* (I know!). Saw a dining location Three broom sticks that looks great!
Of course we want to see the rest of the park. Suggestions for such a short time frame???
I've also looked into renting a car for 2 days, pretty cheap at $68 total.
So, park wise............ HELP!!!!!!:scared1:

For kids that young you can probably see most things in one day. For IOA I would suggest Cat In the Hat and you want to do WWOHP. There are a lot of more teenage things at IOA. US has kiddie stuff like ET, children's play area, Shrek, and Nickelodeon. It would be more a little kid's speed.

Make sure you check height requirements for the rides. I think WWoHP may be 48" minimum, but I'm not sure.

Jimmy Neutron ride, but no other stuff for Nick.

You can always do one day and then upgrade to a 2 day ticket if you don't see everything you want in one day. With smaller children at IOA the Cat in the Hat area is perfect for them and the Adults will like it as well. You also have to stop by Lost Continent and let them talk with the fountain there, DD (7) loves to argue with it everytime we go by. They can also ride Spiderman (40in) and the older one will be able to go on the water rides at JP and Toon Island.

Over at WWOHP the FOTH is good for kids has a 36 inch height requirement but the other 2 rides they will not be able to go on. You will need to get there early in the morning and head to Olivanders first, might get lucky and one will get to have a wand pick them. Then the 3 broomsticks is a great place to eat but if you are only doing one day I am going to assume you will be out of the area by lunch time.

On the US side there is more to do for the kids, you will need to skip RRR, Mummy because of height and it looks like MIB and Simpsons you have to be 42in to ride. But there is a great area where they have a kiddie coaster and fun stuff to do plus there are tons of characters out most the day. DD saw Dora, Sponge Bob, Madagascar characters, Scobby and gang, Simpsons just to name a few.
