Do I have to be registered and in an active class or specific amount of classes to qualify for the DCP? Do I have to specify the degree I was originally seeking and does it affect where I am placed in the parks? Especially since it was an art degree???

Your degree doesn't matter. The DCP takes all majors. However, you either have to be registered for classes for the semester you're applying for, or you have to have just graduated (as in, you're doing the DCP the semester after you graduate).
