I have a really dumb question... I've noticed that folks purchasing contracts overnight the documents and wire the funds. Why would you pay the wire fees instead of just including a check in the overnight package?:confused3 I think that I must be missing something. TIA

We mailed in a certified check as well..No sense in wiring if there is a fee as closing is still dependent on the sellers getting their documents in to the title company in a timely manner as well..For us (and we closed yesterday) my documents were at the title company 1.5weeks before the sellers documents were received.

Certified ck for us too, sellers docs were received 2 days after ours closing happened the same week we sent check. (Resale that is) Buying direct I waited until closing and put membership on credit card so I can get the mileage points, then used LOC to pay credit card.

Thanks folks. I was starting to think there was some super secret banking issue around certified/cashiers checks.

We're so excited - scheduled to close on May 10th with our first contract! :woohoo:

I had to wire since I don't have a US bank account to draw a cheque from and they don't accept cheques on banks here.

We wired the $ and sent the contracts back by fax - so no overnight mailing charge.

i overnighted a certififed check too bad my sellers waited 9 days to send their paperwork back!

We did the same thing. I started to send a cashier's check but there was a warning on my bank's website about sending them in the mail. I guess they're like cash.

What I should have done is flown to Orlando to deliver the cashier's check. And while I was there, visited the parks--you know just to make sure I still liked WDW before going through with the purchase.

We overnighted the documents and included a certified check the first resale purchase. The second purchase we wired the funds and faxed the documents. It all depends on the title company.
