So, Dh and I have been trying to plan this trip since...oh...january or so and it keeps changing. I've cancelled so many things I've lost count, lol. Anyways, it seems like this time it's really gonna happen, so i've started planning a bit more. How does this look so far?

Thursday, November 18th-
get up early and drop the dog at the kennel as soon as they open
drive the 7 hours to anaheim, pack lunch, snacks, drinks for ride.
check into hotel (carousel), get settled in
swim a bit if weather permits
check out DTD (skipped it last time), see if the carolers are at GCH, etc

November 19th-
up and out early
probably do DCA all day

November 20th-
up and out early
Holiday Tour + xmas parade
DLR all day

November 21st-
early again, lol
have a "lines day" where we plan on standing in line for things like PFF, walk around characters, good spots for the fireworks, etc.

November 22nd-
Minnie's bfast
souvenier shop
try to hit whatever ride we missed or want to go on one last time
leave by 4 pm, drive home.

Sounds good!! I hope you guys can make it this time.

We live in AZ too!! Just one thing to consider: it might feel too cold to swim, but who knows, maybe you guys are brave and endure the weather from there.

Last year we visit in october and it was so so cold for me :sad2:

When possible when we have a "start at DCA" day, we prefer to it when DL has a Magic Morning - Sun/Tue/Thurs/Sat. Since DCA opens at 10AM we also like to wait a day or two inot our trip for a "DCA start" day because it lets you sleep more - you get a sleep-in morning coupled with a later DCA start. It doers not always work out like this for us but we do it this when we can.

Sunday the 21st and Monday the 22nd are likely to be the busiest days of your trip, FWIW. Those would be better days to get early starts, get FPs and see a few more shows. The first couple days are better days for rides, IMO.

Also, which day will you use your MM?

Another Arizonan here....:wave2: I am the same way. I could never swim in November unless there was a heat wave or something. :cold:

We don't have an MM. We're staying offsite and getting the military tickets, which don't include one.

Then that is all the more reason to DL first thing on Friday. With no MM you will be on equal footing with everyone else. On Saturday/Sunday there will be MM so even if you are first in line for regular opening at DL there will already be lines in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. :teacher:

Worth thinking about. :goodvibes

If it was me I would do DL first thing Friday and if I wanted a late start morning at DCA I would do that on Sunday with Saturday a second choice. :goodvibes

7 hours from the Old Pueblo to Anaheim??? Holy ,,,,,,,,Cow. A little optimistic on the traffic there? Must live on the NW side huh? ;)
