Overall Map of WDW for driving around...

When we got to WDW in Nov/Dec, we got one of these from the guest relations desk at our resort. We lost it and got another one from another resort (even though we weren't checked in there).

If you don't mind waiting until you get there, they have them at the guest relations/concierge desks at most of the resorts and are perfect for what you are wanting. Also easy to handle because they aren't as large as a traditional map but are very well-labeled, IMO.

Hope this helps!

I also like the map in the Passporter - although I really only used it to get on-property initially and then to go to the Outlets.

Years ago, they had a GREAT fold-out map, with excellent detail, and a big matrix of how to get from point A to point B. About two years ago, this map was shrunk down and added into the "here's-everything-you-need-to-know-about-WDW" brochure that resort guests receive. This made it less convenient, but by this time I knew the roads inside and out, so it wasn't a problem for me.

Have they returned to publishing a separate, stand-alone map? That would be good news.

The separate stand alone map is what i was thinking of but was hoping to find online somewhere to have for our drive to the resort itself. We would kinda like to navigate some around property to ADRs at resorts and stuff and would like to look at it prior to the trip. Oh well...I suppose I can make it to CBR ok and then get it then.

WillCad and LisaS both posted links to sites with a good selection of maps. The latter is the one I was just about to post - you can see the roads pretty clearly.

Also, Joanne's site (wdisneyw, referenced by LisaS) is an excellent source of information on many things related to WDW.

General rule for navigating WDW - if you know where things are relative to World Drive (runs north-south) and Buena Vista Drive (mostly east-west), you'll be able to find things at WDW, as this will get you close enough to find the signs to get you where you're headed.

WillCAD and LisaS - those are EXACTLY what I was hoping for!!! Thanks so much! WillCAD - I see you all the time helping out on the boards...

Thanks to everyone for your help. I'm now ready to go...(well, except for all the packing I have to do, mail to cancel, things to unplug, etc....)

Total selfishness on my part - I just love driving up the hit count on my web site.
