Hope Lisa doesn't mind us jumping in on her thread,
we are going April 27th to May 12th we "had" to stay and extra 2 night to get a good air deal,(we saved enough by swaping days to pay the hotel nights, I rather pay it to disney then the airline)
We are staying at the CSR, we were there in Oct and it fit our family DH is to tall and plays rugby so him and I just will not fit in a double bed ( I really wanted to try the CBR and the kids wanted POP, but the beds are just to small)
our 5 year old dd just had heart surgery in Jan and daddy told her he would take her back to see the princesses if she was brave
so we are off again.

goodness no Lisa doesn't mind (do you Lisa  :lmao: )
Danny does not fit in the dbl either...so we are doing a King at the POP...we have two rooms booked! Ashton had heart surgery last June (about a week and half after our May trip)...I wanted to try the CBR, too! but could not swing two rooms there...so the POP it is! We are going to be there April 25-28 actual days; we are driving on the 24th and switching over to US/IOA for the 29 & 30...maybe we will see you there
:wave2:

Whoo Hooo for the deals. I am like you, always can find the sale or clearance rack. People ask me all the time how I can afford to dress my kids in Gymboree. Um, sales. I have NEVER paid full price for anything there!
I used to be a Sear's hater as well. They do have some cute Lands End stuff there now. I need some new capri's-maybe I will go tomorrow.

I hardly ever pay full price for anything. Every dollar saved is a Disney dollar earned!

Hello Lisa,
I have to agree with everybody that a lot of your snow pictures were really good :thumbsup2. But I also have to say I do not like snow :sad2:.(we have enough that I would gladly share with you all) I heard when the snow finally stopped that day every State but Hawaii had snow on the ground. You and my wife are the same when it comes to bargains, she can find a clearance rack at a truck stop, is a garage sale queen and I love her for "all the money shes saves me".

We had fun in the snow while it lasted (a whole day and a half) but I'm actually glad that it's gone. We snow so rarely that everybody starts panicing (is that how you spell it?) and racing to the store to buy milk and bread. :lmao:

The one thing that I haven't done is the garage sales. I have them every year and have friends that always go to them but I've never been. I really should though.

I love deals too. I have friends who say the ywant to follow me around becuase I can find deals. You hust have to look and be there at the right time. I don't always find great deals, but when I do I usually take advantage. LOL! I did get a pair of jeans for $7.50 the other day. They aren't fabulous, just generic brand, but I needed a pair that fit me better since I am sort of in between my fat jeans and skinny jeans I have stored away, so I was happy with the deal.

Hey, I'd take a pair of $7.50 jeans. Name brand or not. I am not a name brand person by any means but if I can find a good brand on sale, I'll certainly snap 'em up.

WOW your mom got some really great deals!! Way to go!!

I know! I was so proud of her!

:lmao::lmao::lmao: I can imagine...because I've been in that same situation!

YES! :thumbsup2 My oldest daughter always complains, that if it doesn't have a red sticker on it at Target, we don't bring it home!

I swear if I hadn't seen her feet under that dressing room door and could confirm that she was still standing up, I'd have been knocking the door down to see what was wrong with her. We seriously looked just like a couple of monkeys trying to get the shirt on and off her.

Oh I know those red Target clearance stickers well.

Hi Lisa! I just read through you PTR. Y'all got more snow in there than we did in Knoxville! Loved the pictures of the snow!

I can't believe all the clothes your mom bought fo so little money! I need to buy myself some clothes for Disney but I'm trying to lose a couple of pounds before I do.

Can't wait to read more!

Way to go on your shopping bargains! :woohoo:

I, too, love a good bargain! People are always remarking how I can spot the bargains from across the store - like an eagle. All I have to do is scan a room, and I zoom in on the bargains. It's a talent. :snooty: I'm glad you share in this great gift! :thumbsup2

It sounds like your mama is going to be a snazzy dressed lady at Disney World! Reminds me that I need to start looking through my clothes & trying them on to see about fit, wear & tear, etc. I have lost some weight in weird places, so not all of my clothes fit too well. Hopefully my summer "vacation" clothes aren't like my work clothes. I just bought them all last year & didn't wear most of them past our Disney trip. The best bargain of all is not having to replace clothing in the 1st place. :rotfl:

I do believe that bargain shopping is a talent and I've certainly got it. I think a lot of people just go in, get what they want and leave. I go in and snoop for sales first.

I told John I don't mind taking Mama shopping 'cause that way I know she won't be at Disney looking like an old woman. I'll snaz her up for sure.

Hopefully, you won't have to replace too many of your vacation clothes. I usually just get myself a couple of new shirts 'cause my shorts fit from year to year. I'm hoping to goodness that plaid shorts are still "in" this year.

I just found your PreTrip report. Only on page 6, really need to get some sleep, work in the morning. Great report. I tried a TR but felt like I was always rambaling on and on and on.......:lmao:

We have never made the drive to disney before. We have only been twice and flew both times. Our next trip, we decided to save on airfare because we went last year and my in-laws want to go with us in 2011. This will be our first trip, just us 4. My parents came with us before.

Can't wait to continue reading your PTR...

Hey there! Welcome aboard! Talk about rambling....goodness gracious, I can ramble like nobody's business. I consider rambling a true talent and I am just overflowing with it.:lmao:

Our drive to Disney is a long one for sure. If I were able to get some really cheap airfare, I'd consider flying.

Good morning Lisa!

Great job! on the shopping deals! I went yesterday and finally bought a pair of shoes...I don't normally wear tennis (do people still call them that--ended up with what they call trainers) I don't like those big chuncky styles on my feet when I wear shorts. But, they are white Nike's on sale (you knew they would be) :lmao: Need to take pictures today of all our vacation stuff.
:wave2:

You know, I don't know if anybody still calls them tennis shoes or not. I do and you d so that's all that matters.

Great deals, I can't wait to get to the US both kids need runners but i am putting it off until we get there, they are way cheaper there then here.

I was very pleased with our shopping trip! I like finding cheap stuff. So the prices in the US are lots cheaper?

Ummmm excuse me? But who do you think you are hijacking my thread? Seriously, I am kidding! Really, I'm kidding! :lmao: I love chit chat and reading about other people's plans.

Welcome! I love meeting fellow Disers. I told my husband that we looked like a bunch of hicks in our snow pictures. We were so excited about the snow that we pulled out the first thing in our closet which just happened to be my husband's work jackets. We had a great time though so I didn't worry too much about what we looked like.

My mother really lucked up with the sale items!

Just joining in. Enjoying your other TR very much! Excited for this one, too! :goodvibes Also, I am huge clearance finder, too! I love clearance and am always hunting down the clearance racks at stores. Recently, I went to Wal-Mart and got a bunch of those Miley Cyrus/Max Azria T-Shirts for my kids for $1 each and the leggings for $3 each. I was able to get matching T-Shirts for me and the girls to wear to Epcot (they have the red phone booth on them like the one in the UK Pavilion in World Showcase). I think the sale is still going on but not sure how it is at each individual store.

Speaking of sales our Disney store at Broadway at the Beach closed this weekend I went to thier sale and got $140.00 of goodies for $35.00:banana: I have never liked it when people put stuffed animals in the back window of thier cars but the small plush animals were $2.00 so I now have every character waving out of my back window:rotfl: I loved the sale but I'm very sorry to see the store go.:sad1:

:sad1: I had no idea it was closing. I love Broadway at the Beach and the Disney store there. Sad to see the store go and also sad to miss the deals. Sounds like you got a bunch of great deals! :goodvibes

:woohoo: on the great shopping deals!!! I always love a bargain!! I need to head to the store before our trip and see if I can find some great sales!! Hmm...maybe this weekend!!:thumbsup2

Sounds like you found some great deals Lisa! I love to hunt down bargains too. It kills me in my soul to have to pay full price for anything. :rotfl2:

We did get to share a few minutes in the kitchen while the others were watching a movie. Hunter was in the kitchen with us too. One of us said something funny which caused Lacey to spew tea out her nose and tea came dribbling out of her mouth. I, of course, started laughing hysterically and dropped to my knees to keep from peeing my pants. Hunter was laughing too. Too bad John wasn't in the kitchen to share this warm and fuzzy family memory.

Hey, I never said we were "normal" but it's those kind of silly moments with us that I want my kids to remember. Whenever one of the kids say "you're such a dork" or "we're such goofballs", that's okay with me. I just tell them it could be lots worse....we could all fight constantly and never get along. We all know we are blessed to be so close.

This so sounds like our family time. Any time someone spits their drink from laughing is a successful gathering. :rotfl2:

They still have a store at Tanger Outlets here but it is not as nice as the one at Broadway I will miss that one alot.

Well Hi there, fellow Louisianan! We are going May 30-June5 so we will overlap a bit. We are staying off site for the first time, because my DD and DSIL got a time-share exchange. We have a crowd going so we need the space. (DD, DSIL, granddaughters 21, 17, 8, and grandson 10, + the 17 year old's boyfriend and ME, of course.)

My daughter and I are the total Disney nuts. We just love it, and try to go at least every other year. My husband decided to pass this year. He has a bad back and the standing and walking around is hard, plus he says he "has been there and done that"! Silly man, you can never get too much of WDW!! :rotfl:

I need to get my pre-trippie started. It is just more fun to share it with all your Dis friends. I am really enjoying yours, and look forward to more. :surfweb:

I just read your shopping trip day with your Mom! That is too funny about the white capris ,but you got some great deals. I always look for sales, but never usually come out with anything too good!

I'll come back and post replies in just a bit. I've been neglecting my own threads lately. :rolleyes1 I just posted an installment on my trip report and am now working on a short pre-trip report installment.

We settled the big custody trial but now my boss thinks it's a good time to clean off his desk. I told him, "It's hopeless. That desk ain't seen the light of day in a year.", yet he continues to trudge through the stuff on there. I'm going to let him trudge while I post some plans.
