Well I left Florida in 1983 after graduating from HS and outside of a rare occasional visit, really haven't been back to the state since. Well after some thought I figured I should return and check out what has changed and how Disney has changed. Growing up in Florida I went to disney 2-3 times a year and even marched in the parade when I was in HS. When I left EPCOT was just getting opened, what has changed? Okay that is a question that could take years to answer. My biggest question is ride comfort. I am not the guy I was 23 years ago, how can I find out if I will fit in some of the rides now?

You will be amased of how much Disney has changed.

Welcome to the boards!

From another post: I'm 5'7" and the only one posting here so far that outweighs me is GusMan. Hopefully, I'll start losing weight now that I'm starting an exercise program, but we'll see. Anyway, I just got back from WDW, and the only problems that I had was getting myself through turnstiles. (And that was partly due to the fanny pack.) Unless you're really tremendous, you've got no worries.

I can make it through turnstiles if I turn sideways. My big concern is to not stand in line only to not fit and cause others problem. I know some rides like Soarin come with seatbelts, and I know when I fly I have to get a seatbelt extension. My hope is that if I can fit in an airline seat (southwest and northwest) that I should fit in most rides. I don't plan on riding the roller coasters because I just don't feel comfortable in those anymore, but rides like Soarin, the dino ride at AK and such do look fun.

On the boards I've often noticed the phrase "pooh sized" in questions like yours. If you click on Seach, then Advanced Search, enter Pooh Sized in the search box and select "search in titles only" you might find a lot of previous posts with useful information. HTH.

Are you from Indy? Moved here from Florida? Hmmmm. ;)

Family originally from Indy, moved to florida in early 70's and I returned in late 80's.
