Are we allowed to bring food and drinks in? Do they search your bags or back packs when you arrive?

you can bring in food and drinks in your bag.
don't bring in glass bottles/containers and you will be fine.

We carry in a bag of snacks (chips, cookies, pretzels) and a small cooler of waters and sodas. No problem ever going through security.
