Outside DISNEY Wedding Rained out?

I would really like to have my wedding outside but fear that it would rain, has anyone had this happen to them, if so what did Disney do for you?

It rained on our Illuminations dessert party. Disney moved the desserts inside, and then about 10 minutes before the show (it wasn't raining yet, but it was obvious there was a storm coming), we walked out to the Italy Isola. Once we were there, Disney handed out ponchos (for free!) to our guests.

The important part I think with any of the outside locations is to make sure that you have a back up location you can live with. Our backup location (inside of the Norway Pavilion) was not the best, but it allowed us to still see the fireworks. Our other choice was inside the wonders of life pavilion, but that would have prevented us seeing the fireworks, and I was dead set on getting my fireworks pictures

All of the outdoor locations have an indoor backup. We are getting married at Sea Breeze Point and the backup for that is a ballroom in the boardwalk. I think the Yacht Club gazebo backup location is one of the ballrooms in the Yacht or Beach club. I'm not sure about the specifics of others, but I am sure that Disney has backups for all outdoor locations.

Disney will certainly assign you a back-up location for any outdoor parts of your wedding events. But like hmgolden said, you'll want to make sure you will be happy enough with your back-up choices. If you are really nervous about weather, another idea is to have one of the "lesser" events of your wedding outside, while keeping the ceremony and reception indoors. For example, we had photos and an Illuminations dessert party outside.

We're having our ceremony outside at the U.K. Pavilion. We were assigned the American Adventure Rotunda as our backup location. We didn't request this, but it was a nice surprise, since it would have been my first choice!
