Is the Outer Rim still in tack? I know Wes (bartender) told me they plan on moving it to the lower level, has this begun yet?

What is going on across the area where you check in at? Last time I was there it was all boarded up.

Based on recent posts about the Contemporary nothing has been mentioned about the Outer Rim moving, at least not yet.

As for what's going on in the lobby, It's been rumoured that the Contemporary Grounds is turning into a full coffee house and would be built in the lobby.

As for the Molson Canadian comment since that is the Beer I would drink the odd time if I am out for a special occasion in Toronto, when I am on vacation I like to try something different. Still it would be nice if they did carry Molson Canadian in the future.

I would not be surprised if at some point they built a lounge on the first floor, to compliment the new Wave restaurant. That doesn't mean the Outer Rim would necessarily be going anywhere. It's a great waiting spot for Chef Mickey's and they need that waiting space sometimes. I think since CR is a big draw for conventions, and conventioneers like to congregate in lounges, they wouldn't have any trouble having enough business.

I guess it would depend on what kind of remodeling they will do to the 4th floor once the first floor is done. Has anyone seen any artist renderings of what the space will look like with the new counter service next to Chef Mickey's? Are they expanding Chef Mickey's at all? The answers to those questions might give some indication as to the future of the Outer Rim.

Anyone here remember the old Outer Rim, that was totally enclosed?

Are they expanding Chef Mickey's at all?

I don't think they are expanding Chef Mickey's because that was never mentioned in the Contemporary renovation schedule and no one has heard any rumours of them doing that on previous posts about the Contemporary renovation. Then again that might change in a few months, however I think if that was going to happen we would have heard something about it.
