Ok, Just want other opinions on RCI.
POLL: Dump RCI, and go back to II....
Just an easy question...
Members have complained about RCI, terrible exchanges, devaluation of renting, etc. What is your vote?

Dump them (RCI)and bring back some of the better concierge collection hotels that WERE gotten rid of!

We're thrilled to have RCI instead of II.

We travel to 3 places regularly: Disneyland, Disney World and New York (for Disney on Broadway).

With RCI we now have an option for accomodation in Manhatten other than the Concierge Collection (which is a waste of our points).

My vote would be for dual affiliations with II and RCI both - that way the members have access to Hilton and the Manhattan Club through RCI and the Marriotts, Hyatt, the Royals, and Westin/Sheraton via II.

Or a mini exchange network between the name brand vacation clubs would be nice. :) Any name brand product that made it into RCI or II's exchange pool after the name brand clubs got first crack at it would be highly valued.

Get Rid Of RCI!! They are unethical, if you google them, all over the internet you find nothing but complaints- I don't think their accommodations as a whole give us anything similar to what we currently have! The hassle and the overall bad taste they leave in everyone's mouths after an experience is something I would rather not be a part of- As a DVCer I hate that anyone who asks about DVC also now gets info on RCI when looking for reasons to become a member of DVC. It is degrading!
& I can speak on their unethical practices from a first hand experience!

I use my points to go to Disney DVC resorts.

By the time I even care about exchanges, it will have morphed into something totally different or be gone anyway. It's the story of my life.

I wish DVC would go back to II.

RCI has a pretty bad reputation, whereas II has some really nice options in Europe and the Caribbean.

As I've noted previously my preference would be to gear up BVTC as a big conglomerate for companies like Westin, Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Starwood and possibly BG, Shell, Wyndham and the like. Otherwise I think II offers better choices for most DVC members. It seems RCI is going to be better for me personally for trading in to DVC.

Go back to II or do as Dean says. We were very happy with our exchange into the Royal Sands in Mexico last year and very bummed that we won't be able to trade back into the Sands. We thought it was well worth the points.

Agreeing with both of the above! As for the poll choices, it makes little difference to me. I'm able to exchange in through either. II's fees were less ... but RCI's Ongoing Search has returned hours of my (sleep) time!

Since I haven't traded with RCI I'll wait till I have first hand experience before I cast my vote.
