Closest= east and south I'm close to the Atlantic and just about half way down the east coast so north and south are about the same. Technically I guess I am already in the south, but not deep.

Furthest= west in almost any direction

This thread title reminded me that when I lived in Cleveland there was a movement to call it the north coast. Favorite sons Michael Stanley Band had an album in 1981 by that title.
