My 4 yr. old granddaughter has decided that she wants to become a figure skater.. (She watches the competitions on t.v. every time they're on..) So - my DD checked into lessons at a very well known figure skating school in our area and is thinking of enrolling her in February..
Just to be sure it's something she would like though, my DD and her DH took my granddaughter to an indoor ice skating rink last night.. DD and granddaughter made it around the rink 4 times with no accidents and then - KABOOM - granddaughter went down and hit her head pretty hard.. My DD picked her up and said, "Well - how do you feel about ice skating now?"
Granddaughter wiped her tears away, straightened up, and said, "I still want to do it.. But could you buy me one of those helmets that has a face mask on it??"
