So last night on TV my dd 6 saw something about Tigger, she asked what it was all about and I told her Tigger was taking a time out for misbehavior. She smiled and said, "don't they have anyone else who can wear the Tigger outfit." When questioned further she informed me that all the characters were just people dressed up. (She seemed surprised Mom hadn't already figured that one out.) She then informed me she knew all about it when we went in October, but loves the characters anyway. (she was always very excited to see them and get an autograph).

As she goes to bed last night and placed her newly fallen out tooth under her pillow, she suggested perhaps there wasn't a tooth fairy but parents just put money under the pillow. (although she was thrilled by the tooth fairy's money and note this am)

Too much reality for dear old mom............

My 4 year old told us on our last trip that they were just people in suits. My dd, then 7, gasped and said "you can't say that. Even grown ups can't say that!". In other words, she knows as well, but knows the importance of keeping the magic alive.

Oh my gosh, my oldest is already three, I hope he doesn't catch on to that in the next few years...I am so-o not ready for that. Just when you think they are getting into the characters, they really are figuring everything out. I'm sorry to hear that...she sounds like she still appreciates it so much though.

Your 7 year-old is my new hero. :thumbsup2
