Out of Luck with Wishes Dessert Party?

We just booked our April vacation and I am interested in doing the Wishes Dessert Party, but it seems like I am past the 180 reservation window and it doesn't look like there are any reservations left. Is there any chance that any open up between now and end of April?

If so, what is the best strategy to snag them?

Just keep checking and rechecking.

Since money becomes hard at 45 days, I'd start from 55 days from your arrival and check every day until 45 the 45 day window. If cancellations are going to happen, it's most likely to be then.

We booked a last minute February trip for dh and I just 2 months ago and I was able to snag a dessert part reservation. I checked 2-3 times each day.
Just keep trying!!

Call. I had a super booked ADR in December and I kept checking the website to add 2 latecomers. I never came up with anything but around a month out I was calling for another reason and I asked about adding 2 to the dessert party and I got it! Maybe it was easier to add than to get a whole table but it never hurts to ask. I was never able to add 2 to CRT, BOG or LTT, so I felt pretty lucky with the Dessert Party.

I went to search and it gave me a time of 6:05 pm on a night where Wishes is at 10 pm. I guess that doesn't really count?

Grab it! They've started putting 6:00 as a default time for all the dessert parties, but they'll actually start one hour before Wishes. So, the 6:05 that you saw is THE dessert party. Hope you can still get it!

Ours is that time too as that is just a standard time they use to book it. If you see that time go for it! Good luck.

Yes! I was able to book it! So, if the reservation is for 6:05 pm and fireworks are at 10 pm, do I go to the terrace at 6 pm to check in?

No, if Wishes is at 10:00 the terrace opens at 9:00. You can get there a little early, but it doesn't matter much. Your table is reserved... name card on it. For most tables the fireworks are blocked by the ceiling overhead. Most attending move to the rail for the show.

Congrats! We've done it a couple of times and, while not the absolute best view, the value for us was in the space and lack of crowding.

Yep, it just says 6:00. It freaked us out too. We have a reservation for the Dessert Party in April too. We called to make sure it was correct due to the time.

Try spliting up the party too. We had a party of 6, and we split 3 and 3. Somehow, they wouldn't give us a 6 person res, but a 3 and 3 was ok. Maybe Disney can't do math? We did request to sit together.

Anyway, when we got there, they had given us a 6 person table, and there were lots of tables open. Keep checking and be willing to split your party up. Disney just can't do math (among many other things!)

can any one tell me how some one gets the tables closest to the railing? is like the first ppl who call at the 180 days out gets the tables closest? Since the tables have names on them?
