Our WILD Fairytale Wedding and Honeymoon Trip! And We're off!!!

How tall are you? What length shorts do you like?

I'm 5'7". I prefer shorts that are just above the knee. I got a super comfortable pair of Levi's at Kohls last year. I'm hoping they have them again this year so I can get another pair. I also have a couple pairs of linen shorts that I got at Kohls that are a bit shorter but so perfect for warm weather. (Can you tell I love Kohls?)

That's good to know. I'm 5'8" and the shorts that are out there either seem to be SUPER short or too long. I'm definitely going to check out Kohls. I just want a few pair. I have a great pair of black shorts that still fit:yay: and I think a pair of Khaki that are on the longer side but would like a another pair of khaki and maybe denim too.

I'm 5'7" also. Well, about a 1/4" short of 5'8":lmao:. I hate wearing shorts, 2 reasons.

The first reason is that I hate my legs since I got pregnant. Well actually it was fertility drugs. I gained more weight on the drugs than I did during my pregnancy and am having a horrible time getting that off.:sad2: Because of the weight I have that chaffing issue with my thighs. Yuck. All that weight went directly to hips/thighs.

The second reason is that I am pale. I mean REALLY pale. If I were any more pale I would be a ghost:scared:. I get teased a lot by DH family during the summer because they are part Cherokee Indian. They spend 5 min in the sun and have the most beautiful skin tone. When I was planning our wedding I spent 6 months going to the the tanning bed 3 times a week. I barely got a base tan and ended up with melanoma on my back. :scared1: I had a nickel size chunk of skin taken of my back. So now I wear 50spf all summer long.

I wear a lot of capris in the summer.

I just rock my paleness. When I was younger, I hated it. But as an adult, I love it. It's much better than having wrinkled and leathery skin (like some of my relatives who tan too much.) My cousin is a couple years younger than me. But she tans ALL the time. Needless to say, I look much younger than her. :) I figure if people don't like my super white legs, they don't have to look at them.

Just realized I never did comment on your older posts.

......

Wednesay- Wedding Day!!! My mom, Maid of Honor and I have ADR's at the GF Cafe for breakfast and then getting our nails done at the GF Spa. We'll head back to the room to get ready.

Will any of Eric's female relatives be joining you guys for breakfast and nails that morning?

I am trying to find a better deal on our car rental...we always rent a car. We have tried to the buses but we like have the control of the car:rotfl: Can we say OCD?

So you're flying down? Will you be shipping your dress? What other things will you have to bring down with you?

.....

-Keep trying for a cheaper rental car rate. Right now I have a midsize for about $275. I'm happy with it, but could be happier!!

That's not too bad for midsize. We usually get compact for a week for around $200. We used a Costco discount the last time we traveled.

:thumbsup2

Nope...this is just for my Mom, myself and Lauren. My grammy might join us if she wants to get up that early

We are flying down. My dress will probably be my carryon, we are going to see what it fits into this weekend. The only other thing that needs to come down is our toasting glasses and knife set which I will probably ask Lauren to put in her car (they are driving)

See I'm used to much cheaper. I'm using a few codes right now including the double upgrade so I'm just going to keep an eye on it.

Will your dress be in a garment bag? Will it fit in the overhead bin without being smooshed? Just make sure it won't need to be checked. I watched an episode of that show Airline (I think that is what it's called) once where a girl had to check her wedding dress. It ended up falling off one of those luggage things and it got run over (ripped the bag and dress.) It was so sad!

If you check out Kohls, let me know what you find. I haven't been in a while. I'm trying not to spend a lot of money right now. Which means, I'm keeping myself away from Kohls (I always spend way too much there!)

No...no garment bag. Luckily my dress does not need to be pressed or ironed as it's mostly Tulle :) We are going to place it in a plastic bag and then into a small rolling suitcase so I will have it on me at ALL times:goodvibes

We were married in Hawaii, so I carried my dress on the plane. I called ahead to the airline and they said that if I put it in a hanging garment bag they could hang it somewhere in the front of the plane (closet?) and that way it wouldn't be wrinkled.

I told the woman at the check-in desk, she made a note of it. When we boarded the plane, the flight attendant took it and hung it up and she had it waiting for us when we got off the plane.

It worked out great! You may want to call and see if your airline would do that for you.

Great thinking to keep your dress with you the whole time! I might have just packed with-- and ended up with disastrous results!

Sounds like your plans are still coming together nicely. :thumbsup2

Wow that's really great!! From what I have read it's hit or miss with the airlines being able to hang up the dress and I really don't want it to end up underneath the plane. I think I'm just going to stick with my suitcase and keep it on me at all times!

Thanks!! We only have few things left to do!!!

-Trip to Walmart (shorts, sweatshirt, toiletries)
-Get Eric's suit altered
-Eric also needs new sneakers, golf shoes and dress shoes...sometimes that boy is high maintenance:rotfl:
-Finish downloading music for the reception. I need to submit it to Disney 2 weeks before the wedding (next Wednesday!!!)
-Finish writing the ceremony. It's started but we aren't 100% happy with it yet.
-Pack. I already have some stuff set aside, but not packed yet.
-Iron on our T-shirt designs! Lauren and I are going to do that this weekend. We have:
Maid of Honor w/Mickey shirt
Mother of the Bride w/Mickey shirt
Bride with cinderella Coach shirt
Just Married matching shirts
Jets Mickey (for Eric

I got my haircut last night so that's crossed off (and I love it!). 3 weeks from today we are getting married!!:woohoo:

Not too much to do then :)

How you getting on with the music, must be quite hard as they are so many great songs out there, not to mention Disney ones too :)

What song are you having for your first dance?

It is hard! I'm very open to suggestions! I don't think we will have TOO much dancing but I have some fun songs on there anyway.

Our first dance will be to Then by Brad Paisley:lovestruc

sending pixiedust:to you, great tips about wedding dress transporting.
Thanks!

It's getting SO close! How are you standing it? I'm excited for you!

Lol it's hard!! I can't believe we are just a few weeks away from leaving!! Next week is a 4 day work week and so is the week after:woohoo: That should help!!!

I swear, some men are worse with shoes than women! :rotfl:

Will Eric's suit be carried onto the plane too? I suppose after the dress that's up there on the list of important things.

Please take pictures of the shirts after you make them! They sound cute! I can't believe how close you're getting to the big day. :cool1:

Yup, Eric's suit will probably go into the same carryon as my dress, along with his tie. Dress shirt and shoes we could always replace, god forbid something happened.

I will definitely take pics of the shirts, I'm really excited about making them!!!:thumbsup2

After lunch I'll post pics of my new haircut!

Is it hard to make those shirts?

I can't wait to see your new haircut!

Are you letting Eric see your dress before the wedding? Or will you have to be extra sneaky with packing it?

Lol we are full of questions today huh ;)

I don't think the shirts are hard. The designs are laid out and each rhineston has a stick backing. You just iron them on!! I'll let you know when I'm don!!

Eric will not be seeing the dress before hand. I'll pack it at my Mom's and then once they arrive on Monday we'll hang it in their room.:thumbsup2

K, new haircut!! I'm really excited about it...it turned out just how I wanted and is easy to maintain!
