Hello!

We visited SW last month for the first time and had a wonderful time:goodvibes

I thought I would share our experiences there for you to enjoy and if you are going for the first time too, maybe you will get some good ideas for your upcoming trip;)

I have a full Trip Report on the TR boards but I wanted to put just this SW portion here on the SW board. I know reading old and new posts before my trip help me plan our days since the SW website isn't too great:laughing:

Enjoy ~ and feel free to say hi, ask any questions you may have, or just comment:thumbsup2

What cute kids, looks like you had such fun!

Got a question about Sea World passes. You went 2 days but they weren't consecutive, right? I was under the impression that you had to go consecutive days. Is that not the case? I would be so excited to find out we could go back a few days later once we've done 1 day!

Thanks!

We did have tons of fun, SW was incredible!!!

We bought our passes with the southwestairlines code, and no, we don't work for southwestairlines and had no problems;)

I originally thought you had to use them 2 days in a row too...but you don't:cool1:

They are good for up to 7 days AFTER your first visit!

We went on a Sat., then the next Sat., a week later.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

:)

Wow, what a trip!!

Love the Shamu ice creams and the disney crocs :)

Thanks for sharing your trip report! I love reading these but have only read the Disney ones. Does anyone else have any SeaWorld ones they want to share the links too? Thanks!

love your trip report..............so much fun.....I bought tixs for upcoming may trip on line to get the second day free do I need to go to guest relations ??? to activate it or can I just scan the e ticket... thanks

Wow! Great TR :cool1:

We: me40, DH38, DD9, DS7 and grandparents are going for the first time ever to Orlando Sept 12-20th this year. Staying onsite at VWL but Sat & Sun we'll all be at Seaworld and Discovery Cove. I have heard so many good things about both...and your TR just confirms that.

Glad you had a great time! Kids are adorable!

If you have an E ticket, you can go through the E ticket line which is way quicker than the regular line and most people don't know about it. As for the second day free, you have to stop by the booth near the exit to get your tickets for the free day before you leave. You can do it as soon as you come in, or before you leave.

Wow! Great TR :cool1:

First time to Orlando huh? How fun!!! It sounds like you chose the perfect things to do...WDW and DC and SW:wizard: You guys are going to have a wonderful time!

We're going back Sept. 24- Oct. 5th and may go to SW again, it just depends on if we have the extra time. We are mainly excited about MNSSHP at MK!

Have a great trip!!!

So if I bought my ticket online using the SW discount I can get another day free? And that is considered an eticket and I can use the eticket line? I know sooo many questions...sorry.

Your trip report is great earthfaries. I too will soon have a trip report. I just hope I have the diligence to take all those pics. I have a question for you - At SW how do you find out about all of the animals feedings and times? How much can I expect to pay for the dolphins, sting rays feedings? Also I haven't been to SW since 2004 and was wondering about the Polar flight expedition tour thingy......is there an extra cost for this? I don't remember that being the case. I just remember there being set times to enter the tour. Also did you keep a park map you could share with the rest of us? I know alot of questions huh? I just dislike SW website so much. Kim

If you buy any one day ticket, online or at the park, the next day is free supposedly they are running this special until Dec. 2008.

If you do buy it online, you can print it out at home and it is an e-ticket. There is a special line to bypass everyone else pretty much if you have an e-ticket.

Feel free to ask any questions, that's why I posted my review, to help other out so they can enjoy SW as much as possible;)

Thanks so much:goodvibes

How exciting! As for the pictures...I always take that many wherever I go:laughing: I took 1100 plus this past WDW vacation, and writing a TR didn't add to that, I would have had that many anyway:rotfl:

The Dolphin feeding is almost always right after park opening. The actual times will be posted once you arrive...I just had read beforehand to go straight to the Dolphin feeding once arriving and really suggest that plan:thumbsup2
As for the rest of the animals, the feeding booths are always open. You can feed the stingrays, sharks, sea lions whenever you want, just not the dolphins. We fed the stingrays after the dolphins since it is just right next door , then again the other day in the afternoon. I did notice that later in the day they weren't that hungry so I would do the stingrays after the dolphins since it was such a great experience.

The price to expect to pay depends ~ I can tell you it is $4.00 for a plate of fish for the dolphins containing 3 fish. We bought each person 2 plates, and there were 5 of us. Actually, I bought the kids 3 plates each, and we could have fed them a lot more!!! It was about $45.00 for the dolphin feeding.

The stingrays, sea lions, etc. are more affordable. They have a deal if you buy 4 plates. It was about $10.00 for 4 plates, or so.

I had read in a book about SW before leaving to make sure you bring enough cash for feeding the animals at SW since it was the most incredible thing, a souvenier if you will that you would never forget. I'm glad we did ~ it was amazing!!!

The Polar Flight attraction is free. You can ride with or without motion. When that's over, you get to go see the polar animals in the exhibit which was really neat, just make sure to go downstairs and see them in the water, it was amazing!

You can ride anytime, that side of the park opens a little later than the rest though, so just check when you get there. When we went, it opened at 10.

As for the park map, it was the same as the one online...here is the link to it ~

The only thing that was extra was the Sky Tower, and it was worth it too:)

Feel free to ask any more questions you may have!

thanks so much for your answer. Can you tell me more about the book about Sea World? I have one about US/IOA but haven't seen one on SW. Also can you tell me more about the sky tower? What is it? Thanks!

Actually, it wasn't exclusively about SW. I bought two, The Other Orlando and Beyond Disney. They both have great info on SW in them. I really like the Other Orlando the best.

This is the Sky Tower ~

The views are incredible...you can see Epcot and Orlando and the SW park. It's $3.00 for the ride and doesn't run in ANY bad or iffy weather.

On my report above, day 1, part 2, there are lots of pics of it and the view:goodvibes
