I'm still here--we left for our September trip & got back late Wednesday night--now I'm catching up between loads of laundry :laundy:

still here not really lurking just enjoying some disney magic through someone's trip not really a great writer myself :)

HI! Welcome Back!:goodvibes Did you have a great time??Are you doing a report??Thanks for reading!:goodvibes

We had an awesome time. I am doing a report. Right now it is in the pre-trip stages (in my siggie), but I've requested that it be moved so I can start in on the actual trip.

Great updates. I feel so bad for GM. I can not believe she is still going strong;) on the foot.

I want to try Kona sometime. I just need to figure out when it will fit in my plans. Are they "kid friendly"? You know what I mean.....I will not get dirty looks if my little one is "being a kid"?

Shopping with 3 alone???????I do not even like to shop with my 2 here. I can not believe you did it during the cattlecall after Wishes.

Okay, is Kona kid friendly? Yes and no I guess is what I would say. There were plenty of kids but it was kind of reserved. When we first sat down there were wine glasses at the table. My kids immediately picked them up and asked if they could have their soda in them. The waiter came around and started taking them out of their hands without saying a word.Rachel kept laying down in the booth and she would be very near to a couple who were dining next to us.She would sit up when I told her to but I got a few dirty looks from them .I wouldn't hesitate to go again with them though.I hope I helped...

My update will be ready soon-I gave been watching The Georgia game.
GO DAWGS!!!

Shopping at Mk

The kids really wanted to shop and had $$ to burn so I decided Mainstreet was just what we needed. GM and GP took the car back to POP to elevate her ankle and we got on the monorail.Every time we tried to get the front of the monorail this trip it was taken and we never felt like waiting.

We got to MK and went to the left side of the street to the long row of stores that connect. Can't remember the name:confused3 but we love this store. We arrived about 7:30pm and I wanted to make our purchases and be out before the Wishes crowd.:rolleyes1 BTW,I didn't have a stroller with me this evening.:scared1: We went through the stores by section and I told the older two not to leave a section without me.This worked out perfectly.Peyton was on a mission to find a big Goofy .He asked a CM and was told that they had a big Mickey but we would need to go to Toontown to get the big Goofy.:sad2:

We got to the Princess section and Rachel went from item to item squealing. She hadn't bought anything so far this trip so she had $60 to spend.I cautioned her against picking out so much that she wouldn't have any money left. She looked at me and said "I don't want money I want stuff!":rotfl2:

She made her final decisions. She decided to buy a Disney babydoll,a small Marie and carrier, some Princess rings,a little tiara and I think something else that I can't remember.I do know that the total came up to $59.48.:rotfl: That girl knows how to shop!:woohoo: Rebekah also bought a tiara and Peyton bought a Goofy that feels like a pillow but still wanted to go to Toontown to see if he could find the elusive Goofy.

We took the train to Toontown
(You can tell it had been a long day-they were starting to look rough!)

and went straight to the store in the tent.Again I don't know the name.:goodvibes He went straight to a CM and was told that the Goofy wasn't made in a bigger size than the one he already has.UH OH.I saw a meltdown coming...but no ,he was disapointed but handled himself well.:thumbsup2 We found those stations with the Mr.Potato and My Little Pony parts and the girls played with them for a few minutes.

Rebekah thought about stuffing a box but couldn't part with her money.A CM came around and asked Rae if she needed help filling a box.She said "No maam I'm broke.":lmao: Peyton looked around but didn't see anything he wanted and we left the store.

The girls wanted to go through Minnie and Mickey's houses but they were packed and even had people waiting in line to get in.Peyton looked at me with those big blue eyes and asked "Mama can we go ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad??"

Would I stick to the original plan and get them out before the crowds headed for the bus??

Your kids are just so adorable! I love this report!

Another Great Story.

I think the store you are talking about on Main Street is Emporium

The store in Toon Town is County Bounty...that is where I worked from 99-2000:thumbsup2

Your youngest DD is a great shopper:thumbsup2

cute pics:goodvibes

HI! I knew someone would know the names of the stores.:thumbsup2
I didn't know you had been a CM.That is cool!:cool2:

Emporium is one of the best stores in MK, in addition to Mickey's Star Traders in Tomorrowland.

Yes, my husband and I moved there for a year after we got married to try it out.

IT was a blast, but the pay was too low to survive on. It is perfect for college students or people who are retired, though.

We would love to go back down there when we retire.

It was so neat to see behind the scenes and to go into the tunnel.....:thumbsup2

Sounds like a successful shopping trip. Too bad that Peyton was not able to get a giant Goofy. My brothers have always lamented the lack of Goofy merchandise available.

Amy, Rae is so cute I love how she shopped you'll have trouble when she's older :rotfl2: and when she said she was broke :lmao:

I am in big trouble with that one-in more ways than one.:rolleyes1 Right now everything she sees on tv she wants.:scared1:

So did you have a good kidless night? :yay:

How's your throat?

WE did have a "date"night. I got to spend time having adult conversations without being interrupted.:woohoo: My throat is all better too. Thanks for asking! Now I am off to take Tyler to Six Flags for the day.

Love the Rachel stories! So adorable. And great photos too. I love all the My Little Pony beds lined up. Ha! Don't ya love watching kids at play?
