I often wonder about the one time posters to my report as well. I think a lot of people just like to subscribe so they can read along and not post.

Hi scottny!:goodvibes

It sounds like you need the rest Amy :goodvibes

HI!!Thanks for letting me know you're still around.:goodvibes

I'm here & reading !! Actually I check like 10 times a day for an update LOL it's a sickness really
I just don't post a lot because - honestly - I don't have a lot of interesting things to say so I feel like I'd be taking space on your TR for nothing.
You do have interesting things to say! I like to know you are there just sa hi or even  if you want to.:goodvibes

Sounds like you better get some rest! Hope you didn't bump your head falling alseep by the computer! :lmao:

Take your time, don't worry about leaving us waiting for Kona! ;)
Kona will be done shortly depending on who needs help with HW.:thumbsup2

Hey, don't forget me! [Insert boo-boo-face smiley here] I'll be huffing and puffing through the 5K, too! :rotfl:

GM is such a trooper! I think it was awesome that Peyton wanted to be the one to help her get around... what a good boy!

If you're looking for a nice "adult" dinner, how about Citrico's at the Grand Floridian? Or Flying Fish Cafe on the Boardwalk??

Kathy
How could I forget you!:scared1:Have you been training? Good to see you,I was afraid I had offended you and you had run away..:sad2: We want to see the Boardwalk-is Flying Fish two TS credits??
Peyton was great helping with GM and Rachel the whole trip.:goodvibes

Yep and mines a good one hey :rotfl2:

Kona Cafe

***WARNING***
I wanted to go ahead and warn everyone that I am not a very good food critic.:rolleyes1 I like food but I am extremely picky and usually eat plain food.I am that adult eating off the kids portion of the buffets. I will do my best on the food/restaraunt portion of my trip report but don't expect too many details.

Disney2007235.jpg

Our pager went off about five minutes after we checked in,just enough time to catch our breath from all the rushing. My first reaction was that the restaraunt was beautiful, elegant and calm and my redneck kids were bouncing off the walls and talking way to loudly.:scared1: I whispered threatening things in their ears and they calmed down -a little.

We were seated with the kids in boothlike seats on one side and GP and I in chairs with GM in her wheelchair at the end. This will drive me nuts for the rest of the meal because Rae thinks that booth seats are for laying down.I was constantly telling her to sit up.

We were starving so we asked to order our appetizers along with our drinks. The waiter said that we could get an nonalcholic drink along with our soda on the dining plan. The kids had been begging for strawberry daqairis so we got them those which Peyton and Rebekah loved and Rae said she liked hers but didn't drink it.
Disney2007238.jpg

Our appetizers arrived quickly.I got the sticky wings which were delicious and Bekah and Peyt shared with me.
Disney2007237.jpg

GM and GP had the Lump Crab Cakes which he said were "excellent".
Disney2007236.jpg

The crab cakes came with chopsticks and they handed these off to Bekah and Peyton. Not a good idea. They became drumsticks and were confiscated immediately.

For our entrees GM and I had Beef Teriyaki, a 10 ounce sirloin strip grilled with pineapple teriyaki sauce, mashed Yukon gold potatoes, and stir-fried broccoli florets.
Disney2007241.jpg

I loved this . GM enjoyed hers too.
GP had Shrimp and Scallops, a panko breaded shrimp and pan seared scallops with sticky rice and ponzu, spicy guava-passion fruit and wasabi cream sauces. He said that the shrimp and scallops were very good but he didn't like the sticky rice.
Disney2007242.jpg

Peyton and Rachel had Grilled Chicken Strips with macaroni topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella, served with veggies and fruit salad.
Disney2007239.jpg

Peyton liked the pasta and Rae only ate a little of her fruit. Rebekah had Grilled Fish of the Day served with whole-grain pilaf, veggies, and yogurt parfait.
Disney2007240.jpg

She didn't like the fish which surprised me because she is not picky at all. She did eat the parfait.

We were way too full to order dessert but we had to because it was free.:teeth: I had the kiddie Kone which was HUGE!I barely made a dent in it but it was very good.
Disney2007247.jpg

GM had the Cremebrulee(I know that's not spelled correctly but its not on the menu I have) but she barely ate any of it.I don't even have a picture.
Can't remember why. GP had the Apple Brown Betty, a sliced apple, cinnamon, nuts, and a streusel topping served with vanilla ice cream.
Disney2007246.jpg

He seemed to really like it.:goodvibes The kids had sundaes that they got to make themselves and Rebekah and Peyton loved doing this but Rae didn't touch hers as usual. We payed out of pocket because the fruit/parfait was considered their desserts. The only picture I have are of the sprinkles.Peyton loved when he got to have Mickey sprinkles.:goodvibes
Disney2007244.jpg

The discussion at dinner had been about what to do after dinner.GM said that she was going to go back to the room and elevate her foot with an icepack.By now it looked like and elephant foot.:guilty: The kids and I decided to take the monorail to MK.They were all in a great mood and Rachel was not tired at all after her long nap.It was time to shop!!!!

:offtopic: The other night DH made chicken pot pie and we were talking about how good it looked.Rae yelled "where's the camera? We need a picture of it!":rotfl2:

Would the kids find what they wanted??Would I lose any kids trying to shop with three by myself in the crowded stores??:scared1:

I cannot imagine touring with three kids, you are a brave woman. I guess that maybe if they were older someday I will. I will have to try Kona cafe next trip, looks yummy.

great update. I was thinking of Kona for next year. :confused3 Funny that she said to take a pic of the food at home. :rotfl2:
the kddie kone looked delicious.

That dinner looked very yummy! I have made a note of it in my planning notebook so that I remember to get an ADR for my next trip.

Rae is too funny wanting to take a picture of your food at home!:rotfl2:

We have never gone to Kona. My dad gets on this kick of if we like it we go back which did not work for our trip in May. In our past trip we LOVED Le Cellier (dinner) and Sci Fi (lunch) but when we went to Le Cellier for lunch, and Sci Fi for dinner, we were so upset so next time we will stick with going at times that we like but we were on the DDP for the first time and dad wanted to get the bang for the buck so we ate all dinners except one lunch. Oh well live and learn! the food looks good there!

Another Great Update:thumbsup2

That food looked yummy:goodvibes :goodvibes

I loved the Mickey Sprinkles.....:thumbsup2

I love how your DD said to your DH you should take a pic of his pot pie..:rotfl2:

It wasn't too hard to tour with three.I would do it with all four if I got the chance. The older two were great about staying with me at all times. The only time it made me nervous was in big crowds like after Wishes.:scared1: I want to try breakfast at Kona next.:goodvibes

HI!For some reason Peyton thinks the Mickey sprinkles are hilarious and still talks about them.:rotfl2:

Thanks everyone for sticking with me on this report!!:grouphug:

Just read the new installment, the food at Kona looks really good, and healthy too! Except for the seafood :scared: That is one thing I do not eat, but everything else looked delicious!

That kiddie cone was huge! I love those Mickey sprinkles, I know Madison is going to try swiping some of them for home because she loves sprinkles :rotfl: Sounds like Peyton did too!

Poor GM :sad2: Having to deal with that swollen, painful foot

:woohoo: time for shopping, now we're talking!

Amy, was your cone sitting in cotton candy? That is what it looks like. Can you go to these restaurants and just order dessert? DD would love that, but she would never eat those dinners. :confused3 :rotfl:

Yes it was.And yes you can:thumbsup2 I have heard of people doing that and wouldn't hesitate to do it myself.:goodvibes Have you gotten reservations yet?

um, well it was the day that we were flying home and we were rushed with the meal so I think that was one factor b/c we had to wait for the slow buses to take us back to WL to get our luggage outta storage (they couldnt call our flights up) and make it to the DME bus on time. And we were seated next to the door that they went in and out of the kitchen so it was nosiy and I had some kinda chicken dish that I was not too fond of, so needless to say, we had a more relaxing visit when we were there in 2005, and great meals as well.
