Well I finally have all the laundry done (not put away though), but I can breathe long enough to get a trip report together. I hope I don't fry your computer with all the pictures! It is just SO HARD to narrow them down! Our family went 4/28-5/5. The girls are 6.5 and 2.5 years old. The weather was HOT but no rain at all during the day. Take it easy on me, this is my first trip report ever. LOL!
We really enjoyed the trip overall, but I think we underestimated how difficult it would be with Jessa. She's 2.5, and she is definately in the terrible two's stage. She had huge meltdowns (daily) and that made it hard for us. But when she was happy, she really liked the rides and the characters alot. I know she liked it. We were just very stressed at times because of her.
Alyssa loved all the thrill rides! She was so scared at first, and said she wasn't going on any of them. She agreed to try it once and that was all it took. She must've ridden Space Mountain 15 times! Rock n Roller Coaster was too much for her, and it banged her head around in the restraint...but she like all the others.
We saw several unique characters that I personally have never encountered at Disney. Jimmney Cricket at Conservation Station in AK, and Cinderella's wicked Step Sisters and Mother behind the castle in MK. I love how they wrinkled their noses up and the Step Mother was mean saying things like "Any day now! Hand your book over" (autograph book).
We also got to see Meet the Robinsons and The Incredibles characters at MGM.
The flowers at EPCOT were amazing! It's the Flower & Garden Festival there right now. At the entrance of EPCOT is a huge pirate boat with Peter Pan, Hook, Tinkerbell etc. All made from twigs and plants. WOW!
Here's a few Belle and Beast topiaries we saw on our way to the Norway Akerhaus Princess Storybook Breakfast. There are so many more, but I already have too many photos for this post. LOL!
We all loved the 3-D movie Mickey's Philharmagic in MK! Aly and Jessa were reaching out to touch the movie characters on screen. It was really nice and not at all scary like the outdated Honey I Shrunk the Kids 3-D film in EPCOT.
We love Magic Kingdom and we always tried to go there if we left another park to squeeze in a few rides before closing. Jessa LOVED the Fantasyland rides. She also loved the Pirates of the Carribean and she was singing along "Yo Ho, Yo Ho a pirates life for me". It was just precious! The only one I didn't care for was the new Laugh Floor with Monsters Inc. in Tomorrowland. A bunch of stupid corny jokes! We also didn't like Stitch's Great Escape. It scared Aly so bad!
Disney was great with Jessa's food allergies. (She is allergic to milk, eggs, wheat, peanut, and treenuts). The chefs all came out to our table and talked with us then personally prepared her a meal with safe ingredients. Sometimes it was okay for her to eat certain items from a buffet too. We only had to pay for her twice! Since she's under 3, she ate free most of the time. That was really nice!
We bought the dining plan and felt it was a great value! It was alot of food, but we shared for lunch everyday so it wasn't so bad. I'll have to make a seperate post about the restaraunts we ate at and how we liked them.
Aly is crazy about Kim Possible! We were so excited that she could meet KP and Ron Stopable at MGM. She was SO EXCITED!! I made her custom tee for the occasion. What do you think? Kim Possible really made over her and Aly loved that! She had a big list of questions for KP, but once she saw her, she got star struck and forgot to ask them. She wasn't upset about it though.
And as soon as we went around the corner after meeting KP, Aly was doing cartwheels and landing in her "Kim Possible Moves" poses. It was so funny! She was just really happy.
We did get to do the hard to reserve infamous Breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table in the Castle. It was our second time for this. We loved it. The breakfast is yummy and the setting is just so pretty. I loved the french toast pastry cream cheese filled yummy treat they served-heaven!
And they have a wishing star ceremony now. I love this picture of Aly wishing on her star. After they all make their wishes a bounch of twinkly lights go off in the castle ceiling. Really cute!
Right before we entered the park for our breakfast reservation, some people stopped us to take our picture on a red carpet and give us certificates for each girl that says "Princess of the Day" with their names and date. They also gave the kids balloons. It was just another one of those extra special little things the Disney does so well! Here's our family on the red carpet.
I got Jessa a super cute Tinkerbell dress in the Grand Floridian gift shop. It has really nice embroidery and applique work on the front and back. It's lined fully too. Super cute! You can see it a little in this picture.
Mike surprised me with a really special event while we were there. He arranged for us to renew our vows for our 10 yr. wedding anniversary. I will write another post about that specifically, since this is getting so long.
Here are a few pictures of the Cars characters at MGM. They drive in and sit reving their motors while people flock around for pictures. Their eyes move too. Super cool!
The Pooh Playground at MK was new for us too. It was really nice. I loved the little house!
Here's a random photo of my favorite custom outfit. It is a sequin sparkly Minnie that I just adored! Isn't it awesome?
And a few more just cute pictures of the girls at AK. We always take a picture on this rock every time we go. It's up close by the entrance.
I always love visiting Disney World! It was more crowded than I would've liked, but the wait times for rides were generally 10-20 mins. weekdays. Next time we go, we are thinking of going between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I heard that's a lovely time.
