:flower3: Hi! I needed somewhere to keep things updated since our trip is SO FAR AWAY!!! LOL!

Our Cast will consist of:

Me: Kara, 31, SAHM and Disney lover. I've never had an obsession but I have always loved to go. I went as a baby for my first time and then not again until high school when our band went for a trip. I also went during high school as a babysitter. I didn't go again until my honeymoon in 1995. It was hard being away though because it was over Christmas and I had never been away from home for Christmas before. We have done a couple day trips since then but never anything longer than 2 days and we have never stayed IN the world!

DH: Jason,34, engineer. He'll go along with whatever I plan...LOL.

My mom: Grammy, 54, recently lost 100lbs and is ready to walk all over the world!!!

Eldest DS: Josh: 8, will be 9 for the trip, excited to do some pin trading and was a little embarrassed to do the character autographs but I told him we were making a contest of it and he agreed.

Youngest DS: Austin 5, will be 6 for the trip and wants to see Mickey NOW!!!!LOL!

I think they are at great ages so I hope I am right!!!

We are going November 19-26th because I couldn't take Josh out of school during 4th grade..I have heard its a hard year for them. We get a long Thanksigiving break so they will miss 2 days of school at the beginning of Thanksgiving week. We are preparing for the crowds and will do TGMs plan of attack and hope it goes well. We are staying at the Poly cause I have always wanted to stay there. The only bummer I have so far is that I don't think they will have a MVMCP while we are there and I really wanted to be able to do that.

At this point I am touring TGM and reading all my Disney guide books and scouring online for ideas. I need to get my ADRs situated as well and that is driving me crazy all ready and I have to wait to call in MAY!!

:wizard: Thanks for reading and any tips are greatly appreciated as we travel down the road of planning the best trip ever!!!

I've toured TGM's articles for Thanksgiving week last year. It seems like I'm waiting so long for this years to come up but I know it will be here before we know it. I'm struggling with what to do the day we arrive. We have an early flight and should be at the Poly by lunchtime. We could do a little swim/rest if our room isn't ready and then head to maybe Epcot??? I think Mike gave it a green for that evening.

Hi Kara. Read your thread and loved. How much in advance did you make your Poly reservations? Did you go direct throuh hotel? I'm planning Oct. 2008 and just doing homework now. So much to learn for 1st time trip.
Also what is TGM. That sounds helpful. What is it and where do I find it.
Thanks for your help. Karyn

Hi Kara, I'm also planning a far-off trip for December 2007 and I know the wait can be awful!!! I found this site for you on first day/night ideas

hi Karyn!
We decided to go through our AAA agent so she booked everything for us the second week in January. Flights were not any different for me to do so she did flights, limo, Poly, park hoppers, and dining plan for us. TGM is Tour Guide Mike..I think his website is www.tourguidemike.com . LOTS of great info!!

Castle - with two boys?? not sure if its worth it..

Hi Kara....don't know if this yrs mvmcp schedule is out yet but here were nov 2006 party dates....nov,13,17,27,28,& 30. So, with any luck maybe you
will be able to experience this event on your nov trip. Its a lot of fun! Good
luck! Happy planning!!:dance3:

Kara- HI- from another NE Ohioan! We will be at WDW Nov 24-Dec 2. Where do you live?

So the rumored dates for MVMCP we miss the ONLY ONE scheduled while we are there, its the night we fly home. So I am holding my breath until the exact dates come out and hoping they will have one more. Otherwise I am looking into staying an extra night but that could be alot of $$$. Is it worth it???????? I really really really love Christmas!!! i am getting nervous about ADR time too! I have only a few notes ready, nothing solid. I need to really sit down and have a tenative plan for when the hours and such come out next month.

Dates are out and there is one the DAY BEFORE WE LEAVE!!! we dont' have to reschedule ANYTHING!! I am so very happy!!!!!! I've waited this long but I want to order my tickets today for the MVMCP!!!!! I am so glad we get to experience this while we're there!!!

November hours are out but I am still all over the place on my ADRS! I want a tenative plan and then I'll recheck everything when TGM's charts come out too. I am thinking we may do a couple character lunches or dinners instead of breakfasts cause my kids and DH aren't big breakfast eaters anyway, That way we can get to the park early too! LOL!
