Our Town is set in Peterborough, NH

As a high school student (one eon ago) I know I much more appreciated the stage play than a dry reading of the thing

I think the themes are still universal

I read it and watched a film of it in English class sophomore or junior year, which was 3 or 4 years ago. I don't remember all the details, but I know that my friends and I enjoyed it a lot more than most of the other things we had to read.

I loved it as a teenager and I don't think it's outdated at all. My dd is 16 and she enjoyed it as well.

I think it is a wonderful play. And I agree; its themes of living life to the fullest, and not realizing what you have until you've lost it are universal.

OMG! My DD19 was Mrs Webb too. She did it 4 years ago and it is one of her favorite plays. We just went last weekend to see it again and Thornton Wilder's nephew was in the audience! GREAT GREAT play!
