Well let me start off with introductions. 1 1/2 years ago we did the land/sea package and loved every minute of our vacation.
Mom-AKA Donald-the ultimate planner and was so excited for this trip I couldn’t sleep for 2 weeks before we left.:confused3
Dad-AKA Dad or Grumpy-Goes with the flow and is pretty easy going unless he’s sleep deprived then watch out.pirate:
DD9-AKA Aurora- Our sleeping beauty who needs 10 hours a night or else get like her Dad. And lives to pick on her sister.princess:
DD6-AKA Ariel- The whiner who can find just about anything to whine about and did for 6 days. But we will love her.princess:And threw-up the days before we left but seemed fine after that and ended up going to school the day we left. Thankfully as I had a lot of packing to do.

We went over DD9 Birthday and to celebrate both of the girls birthdays as we can’t afford to come back in 4 months. This was a surprise trip for the girls. We informed their teachers, I had conferences the day (9/28)before we left and got their homework then. So onto the start of vacation a hotel stay the night before we leave from Minneapolis airport. Stayed at the LaQuinta Inn and did the stay and fly package. DH and I dropped the kids off at school and I drove DH to work so after school, I could pick the girls up at the bus stop and pick up Dad from work which is ½ way to the hotel. Stopped at KFC for dinner which is when we told them. I took an idea from someone here on the Dis and did a puzzle and to solve the puzzle the girls had to put them together and it read “We are going to Disney World tomorrow.” They didn’t have the jump up and down response like I thought they would. DD9 was in shock and seemed confused. DD6 refused to believe us until we would get on:teacher: the airplane. At the hotel we swam and hung out and relaxed as we had to get up at 2:30 AM our flight left at 5:20AM. DD6 and myself never did fall asleep.:cloud9:
So our tranfer to the airport was at 3:00AM and the rest of our flight was uneventful. Had a layover in Atlanta (thanks to Delta airlines changing our flight 5 time before we left. I had originally booked a non stop. I will NEVER fly Delta again for that reason, they did the same on a different vacation last year). The ME express bus was there about 5 minute after we checked in and we are on our way to POP century.

I loved POP- We had room 5330 in the 60’s section facing the lake it was close to the flower pool and the main hall. I like how close everything is we have staying at POR and POFQ and while those are nice resorts. I think POP is more Disney and better theming when traveling with kids. However the walls are thin and we could hear people talking next door once in a while but not all the time.

DAY 1 - Hollywood Studios and dinner at Hollywood and Vine 9/30
Had lunch at POP and was amazed at how much food we got on the dining plan
We were checked into our room and ready to head to HS by 3pm and we had ADR’s for Hollywood and Vine at 4:30. DD9 and I went on Tower of Terror with maybe a 10 minute wait even tough it said 20 min. then DH and DD9 went again. No wait. DD9 and I also went on RR, that was a blast, I missed it last time and I must say that is my favorite coaster. DD9 is an adrenolin junky and loves the “Big rides”. DD6 was very cranky and tired by this time and refused to go on anything even when asked over and over. So she sat in the stroller and people watched which she was fine with. Before we knew it, it was time to eat. I am not a fan of Hollywood and Vine but it fit into our plans when I made ADR’s. DH, DD6 and I found food to eat but DD9 had issues as she can be picky and found she didn’t like Disney’s kids chicken nuggets or mac-n-cheese. DD6 took 3 bites of her food and proceeded to lay down and instantly fall asleep:cloud9:, I guess that night of no sleep finally caught up to her. She has never done that before even as a baby. We took pics. Our plan was to stay and watch Fantasmic but it wasn’t on tonight and I don’t think the kids would have made it. After dinner we headed back “home” and we were all asleep by 7PM. DD6 never really woke up- and slept straight until 9:30 AM when we woke her up.

I will leave you here for now the kids are almost home from school now. What will day 2 bring? I will post some pics after my DH shows me how.:teacher:

I have followers!!!:worship: I thought this might be the only TR in the history of the DIS that no one read. I'm glad we surprised the kids then I didn't get asked 800 times a day "When are we going" and it made the planning more fun. Thanks, will be back later tonight for our day in MK and the Halloween Party.

I wish I knew more about computers and could figure out how to put both of your quote in the same reply. Does anyone know??? I am so glad we kept it a secret, it was very hard somedays and we slipped a few times but were able to cover them up. They really had no clue. I wished they would have had a better response though, I guess they were shocked and weren't sure if they should believe us or not. Also this is my first TR so I hope I don't lose you on the way, will try and keep it interesting. Be back tonight for Day 2.

I'm following too!!! :cool1:

DH and I LOVE  disney...

But DD14 and DS11 perfer Universal Studios... Go figure!!!

I'm joining in too! What a little trooper your DD6 was to stay up all night :cutie: We've experienced flight changes with Delta before too but I've always loved flying their airline until the last time.

Can't wait to see what Day 2 holds!

I have had the first portion of Day 2 done for 2 days but with working this weekend and watching the Vikings win I haven't had time to finish. So we'll see if I can stay up and fininsh tonight.

Day 2- MK day and the MNSSHP
We woke up at 9:30 and had bagels and cereal in the room. DD9 had a left over napkin with advertising for MNSSHP on it and said it would be nice if we could go but that we didn’t have costumes to wear. DH and I said sure we can go and I pulled the costumes out of the suitcase. The girls love Halloween so they are excited about this. So onto MK with ADR’s at Crystal Palace @ 3:25.
We started off of in Tomorrowland. Our first attraction is Monsters, Inc. that show was pretty funny. DD6 was antsy but made it through. Standing in line waiting, is when the girls started their bickering for the week, we separated them a lot this whole vacation. Which defeats the purpose of a family vacation. Right? :headache:
Next on to Stitch’s Great escape, after that experience, we had two girls crying and scared. I must say I didn’t like that attraction at all. We told DD6 we would do more research before we took her on any rides we knew nothing about. I then took DD6 on TTA and DH took DD9 on Buzz. TTA is right up DD’s alley, she asked many times throughout that day to ride that again. I wanted to do Buzz but DD9 and DH said they weren’t that impressed by it.

We interrupt this morning of rides for a short much needed ice cream break.

Now we are refreshed and ready for Tomorrowland Speedway. Both girls liked this and felt like real drivers. Then onto the Teacups which my stomach just can’t do anymore but anything for the kids right???
We headed into Toontown and saw Mickey and Minnie's houses but didn't stay to meet them. Also did Barnstorner twice as DD6 LOVES this ride. And wanted to go a 3rd time. But onto other things. We split up and did Fantasyland. DD6 would not like Snow White so DH and DD6 did Pooh. While DD9 and I did Snow and Carousel. ANd we had to do Small World. When DH and I were on our honeymoon 11 years ago we got stick on Small World for 20 minute, now it's a must. So we can have that song stuck in our heads for the rest of the day.

Onto lunch at CP with Pooh and friends. We checked in early and were seated 45 min. past our ADR time. Which was fine the ADR was set for 3:25 and this way we were closer to dinner time but the girls were really hungary we had skipped lunch. DD9 and I ran and rode BTMRR which only had a wait time of 15 min. and really was only 10. Dinner was good the girls ate a big meal and liked the food and the character interaction was good. Tigger for some reason jumped over the edge of the booth I was sitting in and almost slid in next to me. Not really sure why but it was funny.:rotfl:
We had a pretty good day except for listening to the kids bicker. Wait times were great and we got everything we want to see in 1 day instead of our planned 2.
I better stop here and get some sleep DH is suppose to show me how to post some pics maybe next segment. Coming next is MNSSHP

I want to follow too. popcorn::

Welcome to my first TR. I noticed your pink ribbon. Good for you for fighting and beating breast cancer! I had a scare a year ago and it ended up being nothing but I'll tell you I do my monthy exams now.

I'm following too!!! :cool1:

DH and I LOVE  disney...

But DD14 and DS11 perfer Universal Studios... Go figure!!!

We haven't been to Universal but I'm sure it's right up DD9 alley. Maybe sometime but we have no plans on taking the kids anywhere until we see better behavior out of both of them. Right now I'm planning a girls only trip with some friends.

Joining in on the fun. I love reading how people surprise thier kids with a Disney trip. Good for you! I always wanted to surprise our two daughters with a trip, but I can never keep my mouth shut. I get more excited then anyone though I guess. Now that would be cool...someone surprising me with a trip to Disney! LOL! I would love that!!!:rotfl2:

See the little +" button to the right of the quote button.....just click that button on each and every post you want to reply to. Then go down to Reply and click it. On the next page, you should see the multi-posts to reply to. Man, I hope that sounded right. I have thoughts in my head but they sometimes don't come out clearly on paper.:rolleyes1

I think it's inevitable that siblings are going to fuss and fight while in Disney. (Heck, just about anywhere for that matter.;)) Have you figured out how to post pictures yet? If not, let me know and I'll see if I can do a better job than I did on the multi-quote thing.;)

Sounds like a great first day! I think it was neat that you surprised the girls with the MNSHHP :thumbsup2 I haven't been on the Stitch ride but didn't like it when it was Aliens. I loved Comedy Warehouse - got to see it for the first time back in December.

This is great, I can't wait to read more. We are surprising out 4 children with a trip in December. We did this a few years back as well. Funny my now 7, then 5yr old didn't believe us either until we got on the plane. I am quite certain they will believe us this time. Still thinking on how to suprise them though.

Hey thanks so much.I wanted to try this multi quote thing and look it worked the first time that's amazing for me. I still haven't figured out pics yet but DH knows how it's just with me working this past weekend and now he's working. Life it get in the way. He'll show me tonight and then I'll post the MNSSHP part of the trip. As far as surpsising the girls, DH wanted to show up at the airport and just let them figure it out, however with an early flight and staying at a hotel here the night before we didn't know what else to do but to surprise them the day before. If you want the puzzle I did for them I can send it to you. Just let me know, it was pretty easy and it made them work together so one didn't figure it out before the other. I did think they would jump up and down and scream, but not so, just stunned and once it sank in then the excitment hit, too bad then it was time for bed.

Look at you, Mrs. I figured out how to multi-quote! Just kidding! Looks like my halfway explanation worked.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures.

Here's DD6 fast asleep at Holleywood and Vine the afternoon we got there
