I'm finally sitting down to type a TR about our recent stay at BWV  . Here goes......

Sun 9/28: To start off, this was a total surprise to our boys! I can't believe we actually didn't let the cat out of the bag. We were planning on leaving to get to the airport at 8:30am and told them of our plans at 7:30am. Needless to say, they were thrilled. The flight was wonderful and slightly ahead of schedule (love SWA). When we touched down at MCO there was no one in the lines for ME. We got right on the shuttle and waited about 15 minutes for the bus to fill up a little before heading over to WDW. Checked in to BWV around 2:30pm and our 1BR preferred view was ready. Both of my requests were met (near the elevator and pool view). We had room 3046 and found it in great condition - didn't notice any wear-n-tear, the carpet also looked new. We headed off to the pool - life is good! Friends of ours were staying at SSR through CRO (they surprised their kids, too!) and we met at Whispering Canyon later that evening for dinner. Our arrival day was wonderful.

Mon 9/29: Off to Typhoon Lagoon for our first time. What a blast we had! It wasn't crowded at all...when we first got there we walked on everything. Toward the early afternoon there may have been a 5 minute wait for a few things. We went back to the room and of course the boys wanted to go to the pool. That's too much water for one day :scared: . Dinner was at Beaches & Cream - I think that's one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever tasted :worship: . We tried to make it over to the models at SSR after dinner but got there slightly after 7pm and they were closed. My DH and DS11 spent the remainder of the evening strolling the BW. My DS's favorite performer (Brian) was there and picked him for one of the "tricks"! My DS had a sword shoved "through his neck" - a highlight for him.

Tues 9/30: The day started with breakfast at Boma's (one of my favorites). We've had dinner there before and loved it. Breakfast was great as well. My youngest DS had us taking turns throughout the meal with pleas that he had to use the restroom. Toward the end of the meal I told my DH I'd grab a plate of fruit for us to share then take the little one for a last trip to the RR. When I returned my DH told me that I had missed an unexpected guest (?). As he was eating the fruit - in particular the grapes - he picked one up and was staring at the freakiest, spiny-est, black & white spider he'd ever seen. All I can say is thank God I didn't see it or you'd probably have to scrape me off of the ceiling :scared1: (not a big spider person). When he brought it to our waiter's attention he gasped. My DH watched him bring the plate behing the counters and show it to a chef (?) who also looked shocked. I wish now that my DH had taken a picture of it - I wonder if they get their fruit from inside or outside the U.S.? My DH brought it to their attention just so they'd double check the fruit, for safety, etc. They ended up taking my DH's meal and one of my DS's meals off of our bill (which was unnecessary but appreciated).

After that we headed over to Disney Quest. My DSs received YOMD Mickey ears as we walked over thru the West Side which was special. Seeing the prices for DQ, I don't know if we'd have gone if we didn't have a few non-exp. WP & Fun passes to use yet. We spent about 3 1/2 hours in arcade heaven though then we headed back to get ready for...Surprise...

MNSSHP! that night. We had packed some simple costumes and face make-up without them knowing. My DS9 went as a Guitar Hero dude, DS11 was a Rock Band dude and the youngest wanted nothing to do with any costume whatsoever (surprise on me!). We got to MK around 4:30pm and stayed until 10:30pm. What a great night! It seemed like there were plenty of people there but we walked on every ride. I even tried Space Mountain for the first time . The 'Boo to You Parade' is fantastic - do they sell a soundtrack for that? We missed seeing the HalloWishes fireworks from the angle over the castle but we did see them from Frontier Land.

So far a wonderful trip.......more to come :goodvibes
