managed to get everyone down to breakfast today, although it was around 9am, so very late.
We enjoyed our breakfast as ever with a load of rolls, cheese, ham, croissants and pain au chocolate yum. Looking at my notes, it says that we lazed around the room and watched tv for a bit (not really sure why, we must have been shattered, or maybe it was raining???) Here's Si in his new holiday tshirt, LOL!
Anyway, Evie was having IASW withdrawal, so this was our first stop (again!!
). We were then really pleased to see that Casey Jnr and storyboats were open today. I love these rides at DLP, they are both so sweet and a nice change from IASW!!! We did the storyboats first,
the casey jnr, which Evie loved to my surprise (Evie is such a wimp, LOL).
We shared a pizza, garlic bread and salad at pizzaria Bella Notte, it was actually very nice. We took Evie on Buzz next which went down like a lead balloon with our little lady; told you she's a wimp!! We enjoyed it though.
We wandered over to the studios next as we wanted to see the cars parade later. Evie and Si went on the cars ride first, which made us all laugh so much! Evie loves Cars, so this area of the park was a hit with her.
Then we all went on the carpets, the heavens opened again so we ducked into Cinemagique, which Evie watched through her hands; but we enjoyed as ever. We then got a spot for the parade. This was one of our low points of the trip, noy my favourite parade, it split in two, so missed part of it; the rain didn't help I guess!
As soon as the parade finished, we dashed over to the DLH. I just love this hotel
and have been lucky enough to stay there twice, I just love the atmosphere, even the smell!! We went in the gift shop here with the last of Evie's spending money and she choses a ballerina Minnie Mouse. We were a little early for dinner, so relaxed in thoses lovely large chairs in the Fantasia bar, with a cafe au lait for me and a beer for Si. The meal at Inventions was as fantastic as ever, this is my favourite meal at DLP, in fact my favourite place in the whole of DLP!! I remember having prawns, beef, veal and duck; absolutely delish!! Evie was in her element with characters; we met Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Tigger, Suzy and Perla. The interaction was great as usual and the characters spent lots of time with us and were playful and fun.
After lots of delicious dessert, my favourite being crepes, we went in the bar for another drink. Si had another beer and I had a (very expensive!!) glowtini, to remind me of my trip to WDW last year! it was yum, but very strong and made me feel woosy!!
Afterwards we felt we had enough energy to hit the park again so we had a go on IASW and the carousel and a wander round the park. We had every intention to stay for the fireworks and parade, but Evie was just too tired; and hates fireworks. We wanted to have a great last day, without a shattered 3 year old, so took Evie back for a well deserved good nights sleep!
Purchases today:
1 ballerina Minnie Mouse
1 pack of plasters, LOL, for Si's blister
