Well, I am FINALLY down to hours!!!!:dance3: We leave at 7:00 am in the morning to head to the happiest place on earth!!! It is a direct flight so it will be a mere 2 1/2 hours and I will be off and boarding an ME bus on my way to see the mouse!!

It has been a whirlwind day with a lot of running around to get ready. I started the day out with my picking up some last minute things for the girls and then headed for my annual mani/pedi. Since I teach little ones, I don't usually get them during the school year because they never last. But, for Disney, no holes barred. While I was there, the dentist called and they had two cancellations and wanted to know if DD and I wanted to come in. Since we missed our last appointment a few months back, I figured we should. I guess having nice new pearly whites for all my pics isn't a bad idea.

Of course, the skies decided, as I was driving all around the city, that I should have some practice in dealing with those famous summer downpours you get at WDW and boy, did it come down hard. Good thing I made it to the car just in time to save my beautiful new toes from being destroyed.

This year, it will be me, DD 18, DD15, DD15's friend, my Aunt, two cousins, and their daughters, 12 and 6. For my one cousin, she has not been since she was 10 (in her 30's now) and it is the first visit for her 6 yr old!!! I am so excited for her. Since our kids are older now, it will be so wonderful to see it again through the eyes of a child.

Of course, missing from the mix is my wonderful DH. Last summer, it was just WAY too hot for him and he said no more. We have been going since 1994 and he has had enough. Of course, I told him that I would really miss him and I will. I asked him if he was a bit sad, now that the trip is here, that he wasn't going. His answer "With all those women...I think I'm good!":lmao:

I have been really wanting a new camera but DH said I didn't need one--I replace them every other year :rotfl:. But, as you know, my powers of persuasion where he is concerned work very well--remember, I am almost the proud owner of 150 BWV points he said we didn't need!!--and he surprised me today with a new one! I was so excited--he really is the best!!!:lovestruc

This will be our first stay in a 2 bedroom as well as a BW view room. I am so excited for that and I think it will make it extra special for my guests.

Of course, ya'll know that there is no way I can go to WDW and not stay at BLT, so we will be heading there for the 2nd part of the stay.

Okay, my friends, I'm off to get my Disney outfit ready to go and then off to bed to try to get some sleep. So, let's see:

Minnie shirt--check!, :yay:
Animal Kingdom Safari Hat with DVC pin--check!, :yay:
Mickey Mouse necklace and watch--check! :yay:
My DVC member bag--check!:yay:

Yep, I have a feeling that everyone in the Syracuse airport will have an idea where I am headed!!!:rotfl:

Can't wait for all the great pics with your new camera. Have a fabulous timepixiedust:

Oh - I would love to do this with my girls and my girlfriends!! princess:princess:

So far, dh has volunteered to stay at home though! :confused3 :lmao:

Wow, all that estrogen! Please keep us posted on all of the drama!

Seriously, though, sounds like a great crew and a beautiful location. You will have a magnificent time.

If you see DVC Dreamer at the BLT, say hi for us. And take lots of pictures!!!

What a fun trip this is going to be! I have a gals trip set for September, me and 5 others!

Do you have your Aerobed and bedding packed up? You'll need that since you have one more than sleeping spaces. DVC usually allows an extra in the villas that sleep four or eight, so you should be okay with that.

Wish I were one of you Girls. Have a wonderful trip. Looking forward to your report.

Have a fun and safe trip neighbor. :thumbsup2 And eat a Mickey Bar for me.

Pictures from the new camera would be nice too. ;)

and have a pina colada for me:thumbsup2 I'll be having one myself at SSR on Friday!

We left Syracuse right on time and landed about 10 minutes early. It was raining but not very hard. The trip on ME was quick and efficient. We only waited about 5 minutes to board the bus. We touched down at 9:40 and and were checking in right at 11:00 am. Here we are in the airport waiting:

We are on a segmented trip and had the QSDP for tonight. When we checked in, things seemed to be going well until the CM said that I had a balance of a little over $200 that needed to be paid. I asked for what and she said the dining plan. I then explained that it had been paid for already. She called a manager who then instructed me to contact MS because things were not showing up. After about 20 minutes on the phone with MS and them talking to the front desk, it was cleared up. Apparantly, something didn't transfer right and the credit never showed up. Our room was not ready so off we headed to Epcot.

Because of the overcast skies, the Boardwalk was dead! We saw about 10 people total during the walk. Even when we got into Epcot, it seemed as though the crowds were light. It was also not unbearable in terms of the heat.

I picked up our AP's and the TIW card while the girls quickly went to get FP's for Soarin. We weren't sure if they would still be available but hoped. We got them at 12:30 and the return time was only 4:45 pm--not bad.

We also had lunch at Le Cellier and it was great to be able to save with TIW. We once again stuffed ourself and left--well rolled--out. During our lunch, we got the voicemail that the room was ready--3:00 pm!

We are on the 2nd floor overlooking the boardwalk. It is beautiful and I have to say, buying here as an add on to my BLT was the perfect decision. I realized how important it is for my Disney trips to be in the mix of things here for a few days before heading off to the MK area.

My cousin, who is 6 and visiting for the 1st time was overwhelmed with excitement and loved all that we got done. We were pretty much able to do most of the rides in Future World today. And my DD15 did Misson Space--the orange one--for the first time with her friend! So proud (she is not a big thrill ride person).

We did get to take the little one to the pool and she went on the clown slide at least 5 times. I ended up being the one taking her and realized how old I am getting!!!!:lmao: Those stairs seemed like they took forever but we had a blast!!

All and all a great first day! And being able to just people watch from the balcony is heaven! We are heading off to DHS tomorrow and lunch at Sci Fi.

I'll update posts when I get home on the 15th with pictures!

Yes! It traveled well. The good thing is that two of the guests wont be here until tomorrow night so we only have to do the one night with 9 (tonight we are 7).

Lucky you, you got a lunch ADR at Le Cellier! We really enjoy that restuarant too!:thumbsup2

Glad to hear the crowds and weather aren't too bad. We are on the flight Saturday morning. I hope we get lucky and get our villa early too. Have fun!

Sounds like such a great time!! Enjoy the low crowds and beautiful views! Looking forward to your pictures when you get home! I love the expression and excitement on 1st time visitors, it makes you so happy to be a part of it!

Congrats on your Le Cellier reservation! Love that place!

In that case, enjoy your space for tonight. ;)
