We just came home from a week at Disneyland. It was a lot of fun, and I've seen people ask about the Peacock suites, myself included, so I wanted to let you all know how it went.
The rooms were beautiful and clean, all the people who worked for the hotel very nice, (we avoided the timeshare presentation) and we really liked the hotel. It was a very long walk to Disney though. About a mile of mostly well lit sidewalk. We walked there and back for two days and then bought art passes at the hotel. That was a good decision. The ART was not usually on time and we had to wait awhile sometimes, but it was better than walking. It picked up right in front of the hotel, so that was good.
We park hopped from DCA and DL quite a bit. Disneyland was almost always more crowded especially in the evening. The parks were much more crowded (of course) the first week of December than when we had went at that time several years ago.
We took the Disney Story tour at DCA on Friday, and enjoyed it. It includes a nice lunch at the Fiddler Fifer & Practical Cafe. I like to do tours on a Friday because it's usually busy and a tour gets you special access to the rides.

We are also from Oregon and have stayed at Peacock Suites twice! We loved it, but no way would I walk back after a long day in the parks. ART was our friend! :)

Thanks so much we are staying at the peacock suites in March. Do you happen to have pics?

Thank you! We probably passed by each other in the parks. Those were the dates we were there! :teeth:

DH and I stayed there a while back- we enjoyed it also, the room was large and clean and very new-ish. We did the walk, but we didn't have DD with us. We were only there a few days so didn't notice that it was long, I think we were on the Disney high :)

You're welcome, I'm glad it was a help to someone.

Sorry I don't have pictures. But the pictures you can find on trip adviser are pretty accurate. We had a a corner 2 bdrm suite. We really liked the layout. You entered into a small dining/kitchenette and living room area with sofa bed. The first bedroom had a king bed and a bathroom, the second room had a 2 queen beds, and the second bathroom was just outside the bedroom in the hall. The only downside is that the toilets are very efficient but tremendously loud. They can wake up the people in the bedroom on the other side of the wall if they are light sleepers. The bathrooms were very nice with plenty of space. Both had shower/tub combinations.

We stayed in a one-bedroom. You walk in through the vanity area, with the bathroom to the side. Then the small kitchenette, sofa bed, and bedroom. No closet, really - armoire and dresser. The layout definitely maximized the space, but it felt pretty small and crowded. It was nice, though.
