Thanks for the advice Abby!I will definitely look into the sleeping pills but am not sure if my doctor will prescribe them and also having never had the need to use them I'm not sure what effect they will have on my body. Do they have any side effects etc? I will have a look online and see what information I can find.
It sure does suck not having personal tv's in the headrest on a long haul flight! Oh well, I hope we can keep ourselves entertained for 8 hours!!![]()
Some doctors might not be so willing to write a prescription for something you don't NEED, but it's worth asking. I would definitely do a test run a few nights at home to make sure you don't have any bad side effects. I didn't have any bad side effects from the Ambien, but everyone is different.
They do tell you to make sure you have eight hours to devote to sleep and that you shouldn't be doing anything too complicated during that time. I usually take the pill as they begin boarding. I've done the Atlanta-Paris flight several times and it's just about eight hours, so it works out perfectly for me.
