Wow that is so cool. Wishing I had some abilities in that area, but they will come! And a great reminder of your first trip! :goodvibes

I've made a couple changes since I originally posted that picture. I added some icons of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy, as well as adding "WDW 2006" text . It looks pretty cool now.

DW and I won't be able to attend the meet in October. We don't have the vacation time built back up yet. Also, I'm going to try and use my vacation time at Christmas and go visit my parents back in Spokane, WA. I haven't seen them since I moved to Louisiana 4 years ago. I talk to them every week though.

I have to go to bed now, I'm exhausted & dh is taking the first shift of Dobewatch! (kind of like baywatch but no bikini's, unless you count a diaper) ;)

Let me know what you all want to do!

G'nite all--- Pleasant lime dreams of tomorrow to all! :cloud9: Dobie goes to the drs tomorrow for his checkup-- he's 7 weeks now. I'm sure theres gonna be some needles in his future. :(

Oh the shots! I always felt sorry for the nurse in the injection clinic. When my kids were big enough, I told them that she may have just saved their lives, and I made them thank her. What a sadistic mom I am. There's a couple of weeks worth of therapy right there!

Kindergarten is wearing me out. I just wanted to share what I thought was a funny story (though sad, as it shows the background of some of my kids). I have a little wild child in my class, very bright but totally undisciplined. I was taking each child's picture for student of the week. Wild boy steps up and flashes a gang sign (at the age of 5!). I said, "Put your hands down! We don't do that! What does that mean when you hold your hands like that?" His reply: "It means you're going to get really mad at me?" He got that one right on the first try!

Okay, new to this secret club!
I saw someone posting about it so I looked more into it.. How much are the mickey paint chips? I'm going on Friday to get some! Is anyone going Oct 16-23rd?

There is no charge for the paint chips. They are paint samples with Mickey Heads on cards and are available in lots of colors.

:welcome: Foladar. As others have mentioned the paint chips are free, but what's the fun in just staight up walking in and walking out with some paint chips. There's a reason it's called swiping :) .

First off, you need to make up some excuse to go to HD. Maybe it's those plungers in their weekly ad for $3.59.

Next, head down to HD and find a good parking spot. I usually back into the commercial enterance for a fast getaway :car:. If anyone questions you just tell them your here to pick up a stack of 2x4's. :thumbsup2 Funny how how they never question how I'm getting a stack of 2x4's into my Mercury Sable :scratchin . Now you're in like Gin (is that a real saying?).

The next step is the swipe:
Some go for with the Red Hearing; asked to employee, "excuse me could you get me that can 5 gallon can of paint thinner from the top shelf?", now grab and go.
Others pull a David Blaine; as you walk :tiptoe: past the MHPC display you grab a stack of LGMHPC's and stuff them in your pocket/purse (this must be done in a quicker-than-the-eye :teleport: motion).
Another method I've heard of is the family grab and run. Basically this involves all members of the family taking some LGMHPC's. Any children with you that are unable to grab them on their own can be used as mules for transporting the PC's. This would include inside diapers, under kids in strollers, or in their pockets (beware of teething babies). The only hazard with the family grab and run is that one member may get snagged. This member will just have to take one for the team/family.

Finally, we come to the escape. Once in the vehicle and away from HD everyone involved does a count of LGMHPC's :goodvibes , get's debriefed :grouphug: , and lists all their plans for using their newly swiped pirate: booty (that didn't sound good  ). Hope this helps :thumbsup2 .

How funny. You should send that into parenting mag. for kids say the darnest things. I know how you feel about kids. It must be really hard to see kids come in that are not necessary neglected but shall I say overlooked. My neighbor is an aid for kindergarden and man have I heard the stories. The worst was the little girl that never brought a lunch and wore the same clothes to school everyday because mom was too drugged out to take care of her. Just rips your heart out.

Nice to hear from you again :thumbsup2 I am still on the same meds I have been on for close to 15 years now, just KNOW in my heart that the doses need to be adjusted. GRRR I feel like a bear :dog2: ok so it is actually a dog but it is the closest I could come up with.

As to joing party --- just checked CAA (can get a trip-tik online now so kewl) and it tells me " 670 miles -- 11 hours of driving YUCKOLA :car: I have panic attacks driving to grocery store so forget driving past/thru Washington (did that last summer for a cousin's wedding he is in secret service :ssst: )

Nope OHIP (ontario Hospital Insurance Plan) does NOT cover out of country treatments. We do have great medical service here, just that my certain city only has 2 "head" docs so I just gotta wait my turn. I can call crisis line but since my file is about 5 inches thick they barely understand what is going on!

Sorry gang I am rambling again and TOTALLY :offtopic:

Yeah, Chip has a few of those floating around. His orthopedic file is 3 folders thick and they are discussing starting a (4th) new one. His xray folder is 2 xray travel bags full. Needless to say, they don't always bring them all with them! This doesn't include the one at the local ortoped, the local hospital or the one started at the GP's office. I use to have old xray's too, but not sure where they are now!

I guess what I was trying to ask is if OHIP would cover the meds prescribed by an out of area or out of country med doc?

And you could have used pooh: , he is a bear! ;) .

Hang in there and have they said when your turn is? And how could an area that big only have 2 head docs? We have more than you can shake a stick at, but your insurance chooses who you can go to. Nice huh? Or prob was finding one that would take & help a child, cause early on-set is a bit confusing for most of them.

Sorry I have't been on. My computer is in the shop, I am back to the 60 hour work week + now I add in homework that hubby cant figure out and time with kids along with housework & all...sheeesh. At least I can get on daytime at work some...mostly to read. Take care of yourself girl!! :grouphug:

Hi everyone. I am home. I had a great time in WDW with my sis and her two boys. We didn't get to do quite as much as we had wanted to but what we did do was a lot of fun. I even met some dissers at the MNSSHP (Crazy for Disney and Sunny). I am now going to be getting ready for anniversary trip with Dh in 30 days :woohoo: This will be his first trip ever so it should be lots of fun. Plus I doubt I will be quite as tired since I won't have to be chasing after two active little boys (gotta love them though they were so sweet with me). I will start my TR this weekend for one and all.

:welcome: come on in and join party: It is great fun here. Everyone is super friendly and you will soon feel like you belong to part of this family!

As for the Mickey paint chips ... ever gone to store for paint and picked up little square coloured ones? Well there is a Disney line of paints and their chips are shaped like .... MICKEY heads ::MickeyMo Your mission, should you choose to accept it, to enter a Home Depot store (only stores that carry it) and rescue as many lime green ones as you can! Heck they can't remain in a sterile condition like that can they?
