Our family:
Me - Nicole (30)
DH - Mike (34)
DS - Alex (8)
DD - Addison (6)
(I forgot to mention in my last 2 reports that we all went swimming after we got back to the RPR both nights and the pool was a big hit with my kids!)
The last day of our vacation had finally arrived with mixed emotions. We were all sad to be leaving, but anxious to see our family & friends and tell them all about our trip. Also, I'm always happy to sleep in my own bed.
We only had a couple hours before we had to leave for the airport so we asked the kids which park they wanted to go to. They picked IOA. We had breakfast at Pastamore instead of the Crescent Moon since the park hadn't opened yet. I had a piece of the breakfast pizza (good but seemed like it had been sitting there a little while), my DH had some kind of pastry (can't remember what) and my kids both had a scrambled egg kids meal that came with bacon or sausage and hash browns. With coffees & milk, our bill was about $21. In IOA, my DH wanted to ride Hulk 1 more time with our son and my DD wanted to ride the Cat in the Hat again so we split up. After meeting back together, the kids rode One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish side they hadn't rode that yet. Afterwards, we made a circle around the park taking pictures and buying last minute gifts. We took the water taxi for one last ride back to the RPR, took our bags down to our van and checked out.
Our flight back to Cleveland was a bit bumpy since Ohio was having very high winds so although I was exhausted, there was no sleeping for me! My parents picked us up at the airport and it was fun to see the kids' excitement when telling them about our vacation.
In summary: my DH loved Universal! He loved the resort, the FOTL (of course), the parks and commented more than once that the next time we come to Orlando, we're just doing Universal. This was a surprise to me since before our trip, he said that was our last trip to Orlando!
So while I'm sure we'll take a year or so off before returning (we're planning a Europe vacation for next year), like Arnold says I'm sure "we'll be back"!
