I need to finish up our last day and a half of our trip report before I forget everything!
Our family:
Me - Nicole (30)
DH - Mike (34)
DS - Alex (8)
DD - Addison (6)
After another early start, we decided to head back to IOA and go to USF later since the shows all seemed to start after 12:00. It was my turn to ride the Hulk with my son and I loved it just as much and my DH did! Next, my DH and DS rode Spiderman while I shopped for some souveniers with my DD. Next we headed over to Jurassic Park and rode my DD's favorite ride - JP River Adventure. After we got off, there was a hair wrap station right there and I talked my DD into getting one. She was afraid it would take too long and she's not one for sitting still for very long!
Afterwards though, she was really glad she got it, she thought she was too cool and all the kids back at school loved it. Her hair is a little past shoulder length and she picked out a couple beads to put in it and it cost about $18. While we were getting that done, my DH and DS went to ride Dueling Dragons again, this time Fire. My DH liked Fire better, but my DS said Ice was his favorite. My DS also had to buy a big $20 Ice Dragon at the gift shop while he was there. It was nice to have that sent back to our room and not carry it around all day! It was getting close to lunch time and I told my DH that we had to eat at Mythos. We got right in at 11:30 and the restaurant was mainly empty since it has just opened. I had the risotto of the day (mushroom with beef tenderloin and shrimp), it was excellent and was way too much food for me too eat. My DH had the wrap of the day (veal parmesan) and said it was very, very good also. My DD had the chicken nuggets and I don't remember what my DS had. They both liked what they had though and we all loved the atmosphere! I was too full for dessert even though I really wanted to try the banana/chocolate cake that everyone raves about!
After lunch, we headed over to USF. The kids wanted to ride Jimmy Neutron again so we did that first. We had just enough time to catch the Horror Make-up Show before it started so we ran over there. My DD freaked out a little during this (when the monster-thingy came to life) so I felt kind of bad for taking her in there. She was fine though after we rode ET and Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster. We hadn't been to T2:3D yet but I was afraid it would scare the kids. I talked to them and told them they didn't have to see if if they didn't want to but they were OK. My DH and I really liked it! On our way over there we ran into Chucky from Rugrats and Scooby & Shaggy with no line!
We did some more souvenier shopping and then the kids were complaining about being tired of walking so we decided to head back to the resort via the water taxi. We ate at Jakes again for dinner. I had the salmon pasta (very good), my DH had the fish & chips (looked good) and my kids had mac & cheese (again). I also had 2 Jack & Cokes so I wasn't feeling too bad about having to leave the next day!
Also, I got my sound machine delivered so I slept fine this night.
