hi everyone,
DBF and I are planning a trip for fall 2007, and we had picked out all our ADRs. Now, we're excited to be taking another couple, newbies, with us. I'm really advocating that we all do the dining plan so that money isn't so much of an issue on the trip (it's less painful when it's prepaid). Anyway, here's what DBF and I had planned without them. What would you change now that there are 4 of us, two of which are newbies?
Day 1: Dinner at Artists Point at around 5, so we can go to MK for wishes afterward (using 2TS credits for DBF, and ordering an extra entree for me... I'll share his app and dessert)
Day 2: lunch at Teppanyaki out of pocket (DBF's requested repeat)
Day 3: dinner at Le Cellier (My requested repeat)
Day 4: Dinner at Jiko
Day 5: Dinner at Rose and Crown, with Illuminations
Day 6: Tea at Grand Floridian out of pocket
Day 7: Dinner at California Grill for Wishes
Day 8: all CS because it's checkout day and we want to be open for repeats
I guess what most makes me nervous for them is the couple out-of-pocket meals and the sharing arrangement at Artists Point. the out of pocket stuff I'm justifying because we usually arrive early and leave late, so we need a couple more meals than the DDP covers. As for the sharing arrangement, it works out well for us because I'm a vegetarian so even at the 2TS places, veggie entrees usually aren't too expensive. Any the one thing we wished last trip was that we tried a couple 2TS restaurants, so the little inconvenience is worth it to try out the new place. What do you think? Am I asking too much and should I cut out one of the 2TS places and switch to a 1TS? Or since it's a couples trip would the nice restaurants be a good indulgence, even if it costs a bit more?
